Default New here and saying hello

Hi there I just stopped over to check out the crazy girls here!!! I heard I could find llamas and donkeys and tata's and even get served soda... whew hooo

I am a 35 yr old mom to a 2 yr old. I work full time as a computer tech but I am on a little break right now and being a mommy and playing with desiging and scrapping and some more interesting things! I guess most would consider me a bit of a wild child and it will show in my work

So now I have a question... I am a PSP user but have CS2... my issue is the gallery here only allows for 125 in size and I can NEVER get my LO's to look good at that size... can anyone guide me to a tut on how to resize this small, my guess is I just do not know the correct way

TY so much,

Metalmama

Hi Metalmama! Welcome to SSD, looking forward to seeing more of you around here and hope you have a blast. Now for your layouts...

I'd resize your layouts to 500x500 and then "Save for Web" as a .jpg around 70-75 quality in Photoshop. I'm not sure how I'd go about it in PSP, but you can do it that way in CS2 for sure

Also be sure to take a peek at our forum and gallery guidelines stickied at the top of these forums for all the info you'll need to upload to our gallery.

TTYS!
Robin

Heya chicklet...glad you're on board with us here. As far as your question, I use PSPXI and I always keep my LOs under 500 x 500 and I use 'smart size' (Resize sampling) and my resolution is set at 300 dpi. Oh and lastly, I make sure to unsharpen mask (under Adjust/Sharpness) ...settings 1, 30, 5. That usually does the trick. I often check to make sure the kb are under the guideliness as well, or whatevva they're called.

Any Q's, just ask away..you have me on Hello (Sweet12B)

I resize my layouts at 72 dpi and 500x500 pixels.
Then, I do a "save for web" and make sure I say under 150kb.
HTH!!

Welcome.
