Question Instax mini link printer?

So... I just found that my fujifilm instax camera broke down after so many years *I think my daughter played with it without me knowing several times*
I was then thinking of getting a new one, since I love getting instant/polaroid photos printed, but then Lan argued that iPhone camera gives better quality photos, why would we buy another polaroid camera?

And so I was thinking, maybe I should just get the instax printer that connects with the phone and prints instantly via bluetooth. I was reading the reviews on amazon and it seems like a better option than getting a polaroid camera... but I thought I'd ask if anyone here has a hand on it? What do you think of it? Is it worth to buy?

I am thinking of getting the fujifilm instax mini link 3 (the newest one).

That looks cute! My daughter has a mini printer (can't remember what brand) that has now been discontinued, so she's struggling to find film to fit it. The Fujifilm instax mini link 3 could be a good option. She loves printing the photos to put in her journal and on her wall.

I say go for it. You be the tester and let me know how it goes

I have a Canon Ivy printer, it is easy to use and small enough to throw in my bag if I want to take it somewhere with me. I have a case for it and it holds extra film packs and the charging cord along with it. It is rechargeable and the battery lasts a good while - now I haven't used it a ton either in any particular place.
The prints are very nice - good color, nice sturdy paper. It is actually sticker paper, but you don't have to peel the back off if you don't want to and no one would probably realize it was a sticker too. It is a heat sublimation paper of some kind - so no ink cartridges needed, but I would not say that it is an archival type print at all. I made some stickers with it and my daughter and I put them on the backs of our phones and the colors morphed over time with touch and exposure and eventually the print film wore off in spots with touch. The sticker back came off the cases with ease when I finally decided to take it off so that was good.

I did a page about playing with it and making some capybara stickers from Tracey's kit a while back.

Sherly I have one and I love it!! I of course bought the pink one
It is so much fun to play with, easy to use, portable, and holds a charge for quite a while. I brought it into work one day and was taking photos of some students and their staff, printing and giving them the photo. they loved it.
I have one of the cameras and find the quality of the photos lacking, think mine is an 8 or 9 that I bought for $20. The printer prints so much nicer using the quality of my phone.

I also have the Canon Selphy 1500 that does 4x6 prints and I must admit I don't use that one often at all.

Thank you for the suggestion, Melinda!
I'll have to look into it and see how the prices of the printer and the paper differ from the fujifilm one, and whether it is easy to find the paper here.
One of the reasons I want the fujifilm one is that it is soooo easy to find the paper refills here in China

OH YAY!
I am so happy to read that you have one and love it! I am contemplating on the colors much more than I can admit I might go with the white, since most of my stuffs are white.
I agree that the instax cameras' photo quality is kinda blah. The colors of the photos are muted a lot too... But yay, I think I might be convinced to purchase this one

After reading Jo's review on it, I might really grab it. It'll give me something to look forward to as a treat for myself for being sick and miserable these 2 weeks.
I'll let you know once I play around with it when I get i.

2 of my girls have a version of this (not sure what exact model). They really like it, enough so that one of the other girls has asked for one too!

I do recommend buying extra paper though, we ran out quickly!

YAY!! I bought extra paper because I knew I would go crazy with it, lol.
I have pictures from my trip and my dog by my desk at work and some by my computer at home. It has been fun to play with and I am glad that I have one. Now I think I need the Canon Qx20 printer as that prints square and card sized stickers. You also have the option to print borderless on three sides. What is holding me back from that one is finding the papers.

I think fujifilm also has the square printer, if I am not wrong.
That's the thing about the other printer brands, finding the papers is really not as easy as the fujifilm ones.
