Default Please pray for this little boy

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...A396.DTL&tsp=1

I'm so disturbed and upset by this. I can't imagine why anyone would want to hurt a defenseless baby. I don't understand why none of the people there could stop one man, hit him over the head or tackle him or something.

Please say some prayers that he's at peace and rest now. No little one should ever go through this, and something in plain view like that someone should be able to intervene.

That is one of the most disturbing things I have ever read. I guarantee you if I had seen it, my 38 would have stopped that SOB flat.

Isn't that the most horrible thing ever! It's so extremely sad.

I live in the same county it happened in. I can't understand why no one jumped in to save the baby. I can only hope that the poor little thing went quickly and wasn't in pain.

There must be a special place in heaven for little ones that go through something like that.

That's exactly what I was thinking Kris, it doesn't say how many but it seems like there were several people there and the a--hole was calm so why couldn't anyone beat him down? I'm so upset no one could rescue him in time. It took 19 min from the 911 call till the cops got there - that's an eternity to watch something like that happen. Someone would have to hold me back from running up to stop it from going on. I just can't believe no one could stop it.

VERY disturbing! Not only what happened to the little one but also that nobody stopped it! Out of the "almost a dozen people" that witnessed this happening someone should have stepped up and stopped it! I totally agree with you Paula, if more people carried, things like this wouldn't happen! Completely blows my mind. Ok, I gotta go hug my girls and simmer down!

That makes me ANGRY and sick to my stomach. First how could anybody do that to an innocent child and 2nd how could NOBODY step in. I can't even think about it right now am just overwhelmed. This is just beyond wrong. That poor little boy. I am glad they shot the dad.

yeah, I heard about this right after it happened and I thought the same thing. What I found most disturbing about that article is that one of the witnesses said that at one point the man stopped beating the child and walked over to their car to help them with something (finding their hazards or something). So, why, at that point, did someone not RUN to that poor dying baby and grab him?
I guarantee that my husband and I would NOT have just been able to watch. I would have been INSANE with grief and horror and panic. How can you not try to stop something like that?
It makes me sick to my stomach to think about it.

that is unbelievable. WTH is wrong with people. To think that people actually witnessed what was going on and didn't stop him. How sad that our world has come to that point. I pray that if something happened to those passer byer's loved ones someone would do what they could to stop it.

That makes me sick. i do, though, understand how people could not grab the baby. The article said he was beaten so badly that they had to use blood and dna to identify him; realistically, by the time those people had the opportunity to do something, he probaby didn't even look like a little boy anymore. I'm sure they were literally in shock; I know I'm having trouble getting it through my mind. Don't get me wrong, I hope that I would do something, but I can understand how in the moment you could freeze.

And that poor mother; can you imagine finding out your husband had done that to your son??

I can barely read all of that. How on earth could so many people have stood and witnessed that and not done something. I just do not understand.

Me? I would have grabbed the tire iron thingie out of the trunk of the car and walked up behind him and whacked him on the head. ONE hit woulda taken him down I bet. I can't fathom how many people there are in this world that won't jump in and help someone else....whether it's a life or death situation like this or as simple as someone on the side of the road with a flat tire or car trouble. Everyoen is so worried about looking out for #1 these days and that's sad..especially when the life of a 2 year old child hangs in the balance

I am with all of you on this one...why did no one attempt to grab that poor little boy when the father walked away???? How awful for him, I am so upset by this. I still cannot believe it, I am glad the Dad is dead and hope too he is burning in hell!!!!! I am praying for the rest of his family and hope that somehow they can recover from this although I know I would NOT be able to...

wow that is sad and sadly it happens a lot one of the reasons I some times hate going to work....it breaks my heart when little kids and babies come in that have been abused....the first time I eve had to do CPR on a kid that was beaten by his MOM I had to leave afterward because I was so upset....it's even worse when the kids are your kids age....so so sad I agree why would you just sit there and watch and not help....I mean I know the had to be crazy "beat the demons out" but come on....makes me question what the world has come to you know

I don't care if the man looked dangerous or not - he can beat on me and leave the kid alone.

This just makes me sick! I live fairly close to there so it's all over the news here. There was one 60 year old man who the news reported tried to get the guy off the baby at least three times and was thrown off of the guy and knocked to the ground a couple of those times. My heart breaks for that mother....

I am soooooo glad the sheriff killed him!!!!!!!!!! An eye for an eye....

It's sickening what kind of horrible things messed up people do to little kids these days. SO glad that asshole is dead. Hitting him with a tire iron sounded like a good plan-why didnt anyone do it???

I seriously just want to puke. I can't even believe these people. I know he was beaten so badly, but they'd have had to hold me back to stop me from trying to save that child. My heart just aches.
