Default What non-digi crafts are you working on?

Okay, so my girls are waking up, so the fun is over anyway for me... but what non-digi craft projects are you working on lately? I know we have some crafty ladies here! I want some new projects!

I'll tell you one of mine I need to get on. I found these amazing patterns for advent calendars for Christmas.... so I'm in the long process of tracing all the pieces. I haven't worked on it for months though. But Christmas will get here too fast if I don't get back on it! So, I'm planning to work on it tonight. Ideally, I would like to have everything traced in the next week or so.

Oh, and I have an ongoing quiet book for my girls... it's been months since I added to that one too!

So tell me about your projects!

I wish I had some crafts going, but currently nothing going on!

What is the quiet book?

I wanted to teach my kids a little about sewing, so we have been making softies. Among others, we've made the dog and the whale on the cover. They are quick and fun and it's amazing how much my kids love them, considering that they have a ton of much more "professional" stuffed animals!

omg, those are adorable. I'm going to look into that. Henry turns 7 tomorrow and for his bday gift he requested a sewing needle! A sharp one! He's not happy with the blunt needles I give him. He's always wanting to sew something.

There are non-digi crafts? Really? I color with Jamin daily and we've been known to mess with play-doh does that count?

I used to do some knitting but I haven't for months now... I would love to start doing some more little craft things with my girls. My oldest is almost 4 and loves stuff like that. Anyone know of a good book with ideas? Off to go check out Amazon...

I need to head to the fabric store to pick up some material for a dress for Annika. My step mother made an adorable crochet top and I have to make the skirt.... let me see if I can find the pattern.

I got a sewing machine for Christmas. So, in order to make sure Jordan doesn't feel like he wasted his money getting it for me, I've made pillows and some curtains. I just picked up some more fabric to make a curtain in our master bathroom.

I also knit sometimes. And I traditional scrapbook. And I REALLY want to get into bookbinding. But that has to wait a bit.

I like to make little notepads with scrap paper, but I stumbled onto the Erinzam website and fell in love. I have so much paper in this house it woul dbe SO easy to make them once I learned. I want to get a book or two and read up on it and take it from there.

AWESOME to hear that you really enjoyed it though!

I love cross stitching and sewing toys but haven't made anything since my DD was born .

I'd be grateful for some tips on craft idea books, everytime when I go to amazon I'm totally lost and I'd like to buy everything (but I buy nothing because I'm not able to choose )

I crochet. I'm working on a stegasuarus for DS2. I don't have any photos because I am making it up as I go and right now I have an elongated egg and part of a tail to attach to it.

I have been working on a cross-stitch project for 10 years. It is the emblem of the Aggie band for Billy. I am hoping to finish it up in time for our 10th anniversary.
