Default I am SUCH a baby!!!!!

Nate is at a friend's house, so Libby and I went shopping tonight. We got home and I walked into the bathroom and pulled back the shower curtain to get the bath water started for her and HELLO - a HUGE black spider is sitting in the tub waiting for us. Needless to say, I freaked. I don't have any bug spray in the bathroom and I was so afraid that he was going to crawl out of the tub. I grabbed a can of hair spray and started spraying him. He was still moving. So I started spraying bathroom cleaner on him. STILL moving!!!!!! It is the most ridiculous looking site in our bathtub right now because it took the combo of hairspray, bathroom cleaner and shampoo to get him to stop moving!!!! Gross!! So naturally, Libby got a sink bath tonight, the spider is still in the tub, because I can't even begin to think about picking that yucky thing up. Nate's got a nice present waiting for him when he gets home. Ewwww. Thanks for letting me vent!! I'm still so nervous!! I keep checking just to make sure it's still dead!! LOL!!

you made me giggle. I freak like that sometimes about spiders. All depends on the circumstances but I'm LOL about the hairspray.

OMG too funny! I am so afraid of bugs- they creap me out and I get teased all the time for it. My daughter hates bugs too and can spot one a mile away. She is like me times 5! Hope you get it taken care of!

LOL!!! You would not survive at my job! We manage apartments and yesterday I was prepping an apartment for a new tenant and noticed some dead bugs on the kitchen floor. Yuck. Then I started sweeping them up.... NO! NOT DEAD! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh! They were roaches and they were running everywhere! I was so grossed out. :shudder: The bug man is coming tomorrow... thank goodness.

So, Laurie, has the DH gotten rid of your spider??

I can't stand bugs and yes I'm so chicken and will let DH kill 'em when I spot them. If he's not around I'll kill roaches but I mean really KILL them--if they even twitch I freak out

A can of hairspray can do much good when fighting bugs!
I can't say a thing. It was just last week that I locked myself up in the computer room and wouldn't come out until Scott got home from work- because of a huge junebug cicada looking thingy.

I love love love-ity love spiders. They kill the other yucky bugs in the house. They're gorgeous. Even my World of Warcraft game character has a spider for a pet.

Her name is Charlotte.
