Question Mozy Question

Ok, so I've been downloading like crazy the past few days and I decided it was time to get Mozy and sleep better at night. So, my question is...it says it'll need 2 weeks for the initial upload (which is fine), but does it continue to work while my computer is off? Or do I need to leave it on standby for 2 weeks?

It only works when your computer is on... or else how would it access your HD. You can turn your computer off and it will pick back up where it left off when you restart your computer. No need to leave it running 24/7.

Yep, what she said. LOL!

My initial backup ended up taking more like a month because I turned it off at night, but it's TOTALLY worth it. I've used it for almost 2 years now, and I can't imagine life without Mozy. I use it to back up my main hard drive as well as my EHD. I've turned off automatic back-ups, and I just go in and back up once a week or so.

You'll love it!

Cool. I kind of figured that, but didn't want to shut it off and then find out it has to start all over. I'm trying to shut it off totally every night since we get $$ back for conserving energy!

I really should consider this as well, I know I'd be grateful for it if something would ever happen. So glad you posted about it!
