Default Moms with boys (or girls)

As I'm cruising through a folder of photos of my three year old, I find a common trend.. the kid has his finger up his nose in many of the pictures I stopped and realized, every time I pick up my camera, the kid throws his finger up his nose. Gosh what a stinker!! It's the finger up the nose or the tongue sticking out.. Anyone else have this issue? I'm having a really hard time finding some pics to scrap.

My little niece has her finger up her nose pretty much constantly for the past several months. And she goes out of her way to not cooperate for photos 98.9% of the time. Scrap the pics and have fun doing it. It's who they are right now and you will smile and laugh at those memories 20 years from now.

Other than that, I spend a ton of time photographing the kids where they're just doing their thing and shoot pics without them really realizing it. You'd never know this little cutie probably just had her finger jammed up her nose a minute before, would you? This one too, she's just totally in her own little world, and it's one of my favourite layouts of her. Also, my nieces and nephews are so used to the fact that I have a camera attached to my face all the time, that they just go back to playing and forget about me. When they do think about it, it becomes a fun game to show me something or what they're doing and say, "take a picture of this!"

I don't have that problem, but when my littlest sees the camera he starts posing. So frustrating.

Listen little man, I am trying to get a pic of you playing, not striking the last Spiderman, Batman, or dancing pose you want to show me. Work with me here. Please

LOLOLOL! Nope, I don't have the finger up the nose problem with my kiddos but they do some weird things when I try to take their pics! Either smiling funky or posing silly or whatever! It's SO SO hard to get a nice normal smile from them!

i offer sympathy

i have a lot of 'hands over her face' poses, as in 'no paparazzi', from my now 3y o when she sees i have the camera - which makes taking portraits very difficult unless it's under her terms (ie. some form of bribery and then a forced smile) hopefully she grows out of this, cos there's only so many 'no paparazzi' themed LOs i wanna make!
