Why is my laptop downloading so slow?
I didn't realize just how slow it was downloading, until last night/now when I started downloading my new CT goodies for this weekend, as well as my Sweet Rewards purchases, AND my Scrapartist sale purchases. I have a TON to download.
I checked the speed, it's 15 kb/sec! HOLY SLOWNESS! It's taking an hour a kit!  This is the USUAL speed. It always takes an hour or so a kit. I have DSL, and both my PC and lappie are connected via wireless. DH is plugged in, and he has not nearly this much trouble. It doesn't seem to matter where I'm downloading from, or what time of day. Is there some setting or something in Vista I should have changed or something when I got my laptop? Because I'm slowly going crazy!

Could it be your router speed?

My PC downloads great, and so does Tony's (he's wired, my PC is not). It just seems to be my laptop, where I do all my scrapping. Grrr
