Default Question for anyone who knows...

Is there a proper way to dispose of a Bible? Dh has one and it's got his and his ex-wife's name embossed in the cover... So we never kept it out, it was always packed away. I always told him he should donate it, but never got around to it... Anyways, it's been packed up and moved and packed up and moved, and it's gotten pretty ragged, and it's not really donatable anymore. We're just unsure what to do with it now. Anyone know?

I was curious... so I googled...... and...... well...

one said to eat it (I am hoping this was sarcasm lol), but the most common were bury, burn , recylce, and donate no matter how poor the condition-- oh and just throwing it away.

I looked it up on google and an article said to recycle, donate or dispose of it like you would any other book. The author said it is how the bible is used and treated while it is in working condition that matters. So I dont think it would be wrong to recycle if you can or just to dispose of it.

Thanks girls, I never even thought to google it! lol. We don't really think we can just throw it away-doesn't seem right. So maybe it will get donated after all! Thanks girls!
