OMGosh I am freaking out right now!!

We have a burn ban right now because the area we live in is so dry. I saw on the news this morning the scale only goes to 799 and I think they said we are around 750...well some idiot who live on the next street over but is backed up to the side of our yard had a big bonfire and it started our yard on fire. My husband and son got it out pretty quickly though and called the fire department out. I yelled at the guy what the heck was he thinking?? And he tells me he didnt f'ing do it on purpose!! I told him well you started the fire intentionally and cant be so blind or so stupid you dont see the yards are bone dry right now and the fire index is up in hte highest point it can be. What would you do if you burned someones house down? Flippin moron!! Now the fire dept is going over there and he is trying to cover the fire up and act like it didnt come from his house. Only problem is the fire department actually saw him doing it already. I hope they fine the heck outta him. Its one thing if you do it in a reasonable manner when the area is nice and wet and monitor the fire but to just burn it out of control when there is a fire ban and the fire index is so high that just takes complete stupidity!!!

I saw the ashes flying past our window and told my husband to call 911. He said he wasnt really worried about it that time. I told him no call now. He called and like five minutes later the back part of our yard was blazing. Im just glad we were home when it happened.

Omgoodness, what an absolute LOSER! He's trying to cover it up so he can trick them into thinking it was started somewhere else?? Yeah, the fire dept really is THAT dumb (rolling my eyes!!!)!! Seriously, what if he would have burned your house down? Yes, it was a VERY good thing you were home!!

The thing that also kinda freaked me out is we hadnt been home long. My son was home alone before we got home and he said he was in his room busy cleaning it up and probably would not have even noticed the fire until it was too late. I just do not get how people cannot stop to think before doing something. He was even burning in the center of a bunch of trees (because his backyard is pretty much all pine/oak trees!!)
