Default Anyone done a fruits and veggies fast?

I'm feeling so morbidly obese and grotesque so ya..I wanna do a cleansing next week before we head to Disney on Saturday. Anybody do this? Any tips/tricks/prayers/whatever I'm supposed to do?

I've never done that...however...I was looking at the menus at the Disney parks...and I was so surprised (will probably be more surprised at the prices) that you can buy a couple of different kinds of apples at the parks and veggies with low call ranch dressing! You'd never find that at the amusement park in our neck of the woods.

Have fun! I'm counting down to Disney too...and prob should try on my shorts to make sure I can get INTO them before we leave!

So is it strictly fruits and vegetables...nothing else? For how long?

Sounds like something I need to do!!

I'm guessing fruits, veggies, juice made from fruits and veggies, and water. I'm just going to try to kick it from Monday to Friday. We'll see if I don't perish by then.

I did something similar to that before I had surgery and it worked really well. I lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks.

Any diet with zero carbs (including the fruits and veggies) can make you loose around one pound per day.

I basically do that anyways!!! I'm a fruit & veggie fanatic! I'm not so into meats, but I still eat some carbs- don't wanna have the constant runs from so much fruit & veggies! lol! (And I'm pregnant so I have to eat carbs and force myself to eat some meat still!)

Good luck!!! Get some strawberries and kiwi's- cut em up and make a yummy fruit salad- bananas are soo good with it too! As for the veggies- you can make a yummy tomato & cucumber salad, tossed with some Italian dressing or Vinegarette dressing! Sooo good! (Put a little bit of parsley sprinkled on it, and if you want, add a teeny weeny sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese on top!) It's so yum-mo!!!! Now I'm hungry!!!

I'm not trying to drop weight quickly La. I'd need to drop a WHOLE lot for that to even matter. What I'm trying to do is not feel so zonked and gross and lazy when I'm at Disney for 7 days. So ya..need to do something.

let me email my mom.. i forget what it is now.. but there's something better than like starving yourself by just eating fruits & veggies.. or you could just take like probiotic pills for a while (like that stuff in activia... but in a supplement form, they're actually really awesome... she had me take some once cause she wanted me to eat something I don't usually cause it hits my tum like a rock and makes me feel like doodie for days and I was fine).

Eat lots of cauliflower. It may taste like puke, but it's full of protein and will make you feel full.

My DH just went on a cleanse sort of diet. I made healthy well-balanced meals for dinner adn he only snacked on fruits, ate leftovers for lunch and only drank water during the day and he had milk with dinner at night(he's a milk-freak). He did it because he got some not so great results on some bloodwork and was having it redone in a month. But he said that he has never felt like he had so much energy. So he's probably going to stay on it. Oh and he lost like 10 lbs in a month. He's the lightest he's been in 7 years. Cutting out all soda and processed food will probably make you feel a TON better. But it might take a week to feel the effects.
