Default Cleaning laminate flooring?

Those of you who have laminate flooring, what do you use to wash it when it gets sticky? My floor has something sticky on it, not sure what. I cleaned up any of the spots I saw but it's still sticky when I walk on it.

I do have a microfiber mop which I think it what you're supposed to use but I'm not sure what kind of cleaner, if any, to use on it. All I ever do is sweep or vacuum it.

I just use a damp cloth with some soap on it for small spots. I haven't yet washed the floors in this new house, which is ALL laminate/hard wood floors. I want a steam mop for Christmas!

I just use Mr Clean and a mop. This entire house is laminate floor, and I need to clean it at least once a week. It sucks, so I make Tony do it. LOL

When we had laminate I used a Laminate Floor Cleaner and a fabric mop. For sticky spots a little soap and water and then make sure you clean with clear water to get rid of residue (makes the floor sticky). Just don't use a lot of water and make sure you don't let the floor get overly wet!

We have laminate flooring in the kitchen and the kids bedrooms, I use a microfibre mop too, with regular floor cleaner (it's called Ajax Professional, but they probably don't sell it in the US - it's the kind where you mix it with water in a bucket). If there's something sticky that won't go away with the mop, I spray it with the kitchen cleaner and use a microfibre cloth. I love laminate flooring, it's so much easier to clean. The rest of the house has wooden flooring, but it's pretty old so it's scratched and broken and really hard to clean. We are planning to sand it all down when the kids are old enough to stop scratching it

I use either the cleaner I get from Melaleuca or I use vinegar/water.

I use the Armstrong Laminate Floor Cleaner for a big/whole cleaning (I use concentrate that I just mix with water)

for spot cleaning I use a little vinegar/water spritz and a dry mop or sponge

If you have a lot of laminate flooring - which is what we started off with when we first moved in to our house - I would highly recommend purchasing a Hoover Floormate (I think they still make them!). It vacuums and then wet scrubs/sucks up dirty water. Uses a special cleaner, but we loved ours.

However, if you have 2 labs - or some other hairy creatures in your home - you would definitely want to use a real vacuum or sweep first because we ruined ours with icky dog hair that it couldn't keep up with (even though we thought we were doing as I mentioned and cleaning it all up first).
