Ok girls - the site's been back up for a lil bit and things seem to be going pretty well. I'm exhausted and need to get some sleep, but I'll be back first thing in the morning to make sure things are well.

Usually during the sales, it's best to come back and download later on... otherwise if everyone downloads at the same time, the site gets so slow and crashes...

Oh thank goodness. I thought it was just me. Mine does not crash but the files do seem corrupted or something. My download either stop half way or its says dl complete after a few seconds and there's nothing there.

Robin - I'm so sorry you were up that late trying to sort stuff out, I can't imagine how stressful it is to have the site crash right when the sale started. I hope you got some sleep.

I would definitely wait to download, it makes it so much easier if you do, it'll prevent your files from being corrupt, etc! I know it's hard to wait! Believe me! LOL!

Hey chicklets!
Ive been up and working through emails for the last 90 mins or so. I would definitely recommend delaying downloading if at all possible. With the site as busy as it is, connections sometimes drop unexpectedly which will result in corrupt files. Jason was up til 5am working on the site. He's cached a lot of our content to make it less taxing on the server when all of you try to connect to browse the shoppe, and I think there has been quite a bit of improvement from where we were at last night. Expect delays - we ARE incredibly busy - over 30K hits an hour!! In regards to the internal server error - it's normal for the load balancing we've got going on behind the scenes. If you receive the error that says to contact the webmaster. Close your browser, count to 10 or 20 and try again. Finally, thanks SOOOO much for your patience and perseverance on days like this. We really appreciate your business and when we hit bumps like this, it's sooo frustrating for all of us - so thank you! I had a weird issue last night. Put 2 things in my cart, checked out with my coupon and suddenly in paypal (and of course, I had already did pay now before I noticed), I had only 1 thing and no coupon there any more. Sent an email to Robin, but it was fairly late, so I haven't heard back yet. I did only end up spending an additional 80 cents, but it was kind of weird.

Well we all know that it's only because Sweet Shoppe is thee very bestest!!
![]() However, in saying that, I'm not very patient when it comes to waiting for goodies and downloaded right away (they were callling to me). My downloads were all interrupted and now I've exceeded my 5 clicks and need them reset. ![]() So I guess it pays to wait. I'll try for next time. ![]() Thank you Robin and everyone else for making our site so popular!! |

I just wanted to post a huge thanks to everyone who makes this site such a success and to all the designers for their generous 40% off sale. I just love shopping here and when I came online Thursday night and saw there was already alot of shoppers slowing things down I decided to wait and got up at 3:00 a.m. yesterday and quickly did my shopping

That is so bizarre that all this was going on. I think the shoppe came up just as I was closing down for the night (had to be at work really early Fri morn), I shopped, downloaded...all within record time with no problems at all. I had no idea anyone was having difficulties. I'm so sorry you had to deal with all this Robin.
