Default WTH? Lelli Kelly??

If you have a kid who watches TV these days, you've likely see a commercial for these shoes:

http://www.lellikelly.it/catalogo/default.asp?lang=en

they come with some cheesy little plastic make-up thingy attached (like a lip gloss cell phone).

on the TV they looked like super "girl-ified" Crocs, but I googled them...once i got over the shock of the price (like $80!!) i realized they're actually super "girl"-ified canvas... EIGHTY dollars??

I've only bought myself two pairs of shoes that cost that much. EVER. and I wear them to work all the time.

Has anyone else seen these??

My friend bought her kid some canvas shoes at Target and glued bling on them herself. They're just as cute and her daughter loves them. lol

I had that SAME thought!! I could totally do that. heck, I could paint 'em up with fabric paint then glue on the bling. for about $10!

in fact, that might be a fun craft project for the kiddos this summer!

DIY WOULD be cute, and then you wouldn't have the LelliKelly name plastered all over them. That would turn me off even if they weren't so outrageously priced!

They sell them at Nordstrom Rack for closer to $30, if that helps at all :P My daughter had a pair that we got there- they are pretty cute, but I wasn't impressed with the sturdiness of the attachments of the gems- both shoes had some come undone. I figure if your whole claim to fame is bedazzled shoes, you should probably make sure they stay "dazzled!"

I've never seen them before, but they are so super cute!!! I would totally just do it DIY if I was going to get some for the girls though! No way would I fork out $80 for shoes, that my kids would wear to the park and come back covered in mud!

Cute or not, every time I hear their little ditty come on the TV, I want to hurl the remote at the screen....VERY annoying.

Ugh. My 5 y/o dd used to tell me almost every day that she wanted a pair of those shoes. I finally hopped online to check them out because I thought they'd be cute for summer. Um, yeah, she doesn't have a pair and she won't. I explained to her that they were a lot of money and that we wouldn't be buying them and she hasn't asked since. lol

They're cute, but not $80 cute! I want a pair for DD but I'll have to find them for a great bargain before she gets some!

I have huge issues with the overdubbing (older voice) vs the LITTLE GIRLS in the video wearing a FULL face of makeup. Eeew. Prosti-tots.

Also the cliquish "We can be cool, oh yeah!" thing bugs the crap outta me. And they advertise during DORA on Nick. So my 2 year old sees the damned annoying commercials every morning.
