Yeouch! How do the mummas here deal with kids up that late/early?
Hope it isn't a recurring happening at your house Meg,
*thinking sleepy thoughts* haha.

4 am is also NOT morning. That's when my 4 year old has been waking for the day for the last 6 weeks or so. (Putting him to sleep later doesn't help much, and putting him to sleep earlier means he wakes from 12-2 am.) 4 am wakings lead to behavior like dumping full bottles of maple syrup out onto the floor. Grrr...

And Amber--I'll come too if the fighting drives you to run away! It so needs to end here, too.

Middle of the night is not funny - Alex used to do it too, but now he's settled into a 5.45/ 6 am wake up routine, which can still be tough and now he's 7, I guess we're stuck with it.

Isn't it amazing just how WIDE AWAKE they are at 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6am?? All that energy, just ready to go.

yeah thankfully it doesn't happen a lot..she's cutting her last set of teeth for awhile and she hasn't been feeling well this weekend. She's been my BEST sleeper by far so this is really unusual for her.

Rachel-my son used to get up at 530-6am EVERY day. One night I kept him up til like 1-2am and he STILL got up that early..thankfully now he sleep til 730-8 lol

Umm I have been waking @ 5:30AM everyday since he was born, and believe me, this time is good. He was a horrible sleeper until recently.

I am so grateful that unless my kiddos are sick, they sleep until at least 7:30. Right now, it is 10:40 and my oldest is still asleep, she is so her father's daughter.

well, emma is a very spirited little girl. she's generally up about 3 times at night (she's almost 5). madelyn USED to sleep with us because of adenoid/ear problems (she had sleep apnea)....and both girls are very early risers.

after all this time, i generally don't even talk about it bc i'd complain every day LOL

Oh no!!! I'm a zombie in the middle of the night so luckily my girls are older now.

My oldest sleepwalks all the time so it's turned me into a very light sleeper! We were in Los Angeles and she left the hotel in the middle of the night!!! We finally had to put an alarm on the house so when she leaves it goes off.

My youngest gets up around 5 - 5:30 a.m. Every day. And he runs to my two oldests' room to wake them before we can catch him. Ugh. My two oldest (4 and 6) usually slept until 7-8 a.m. and go to sleep between 7-8 p.m. so that wasn't bad at all. But my youngest is always up at 5:30 a.m., even when we put him to sleep later, like 9:00 or 10:00.

Dear Sweet Child of Mine,
an 18 year old having a temper tantrum is actually less fun than a 2 year old having one. Enough already or I'll make you stand in a corner. Seriously.
Love,
Your Mom

Hope tonight is better Meg! Make 'em run around and tire them out!
