Jomi, we were so excited!! I think 99% of South Africa were that Netherlands win. It has been a pleasure having the men in orange here. Seriously.. common consensus is that they were the best team off the field and so far the only team to WIN al their matches

HUP Holland HUP! I was so thrilled last night when we won!!!!!!! I'm torn between who I want to win tonight's game though. I kinda want to see this 2-1 thing that we have with Germany that DF told me about, but on the other hand Germany will be a tougher match I'm told. I guess what will be will be, eh?

It was an awesome game! Im routing for the Netherlands to win it all but wouldnt be upset if Spain did. Im just glad its not Brazil, Argentina, or Italy...give some other people a chance to win!

Although it might be a tougher game, I do hope it will be the Germans. I think with all the sentiments it will motivate everyone even more, although I think the players are motivated enough as it is

I guess it started with the World War 2, when Germany attacked Holland and that started WWII. This has been a mayor sentiment for a long time. I feel it's gone away though and I personally think that's a good thing.
Then we lost the World Cup final in 1974 in Germany while we played the best soccer, but like I said lost.
Often when we played against the Germans we were better, but Germany was more efficient and won.
And also a lot of negative things happened between german and dutch players, like spitting to each other, after winning whiping their butt with the shirt of a german player ( no we were not proud of that action).

But with the finals coming, I feel like a lot of Dutch people would like Germany to be the opponent in the finals, although we do feel that there will be a big battle played in the media before the actual final will start

Well, I think that a Netherlands/Germany game would've been more exciting, it will be a great World Cup Finals anyway!!

We decided to watch this game live because we were sick and tired of finding out the winners before we watched it! LOL!!

Actually I wasn't referring to that at all. I was talking about what my DF told me about everytime we play Germany the score is always 2-1 no matter which side wins. I was interested in seeing if that would actually happen again.
Since I actually live on the German border I'd have to agree that most of the negative sentiment towards Germany is dying and that can only be a good thing and not something I would ever want to see return.
