oh girl...where do i start?

ribbons, ricrac, cardboard pieces with little sequins or gemstones on them, damask, LOTS of patterns, lace, flowers, hearts, leaves...

i personally would love to see a 'sass' kit. something super funky and colorful for the little girl who feels the need to entertain someone at all times.

LOL Traci - sometimes I like the girl colors, but I don't like all the girlie stuff..and it'd be great to have some girl kits that were more..um...butch? Tomboy? me? (without the pink )

I agree with some tomboyish-dirty girl kits.

I have 2 that are way into outdoors & dirt, but still love the babies & make-up.

Glittery--bling
Ribbons

I would love a sass kit as well. Something with some bright blues, greens, and yellows, and purples. I understand that with two girls, I will get my share of pink but I love turquoise and I dress my girls in it alot.

I would also love some dirt/tomboy princess kits. My oldest is way into trains, trucks, and destruction. I would love a girl kit that reflects that.

I always use flowers, glitter, gems, bling, and ribbons, the more the merrier.

well, I still like the non-theme, gender-neutral kits best for my girly girl... I'm also not so much a girly girl so it would be nice to have some girl kits that aren't so girly.

I don't really think too much is lacking - I love all kits girly! lol. I do love to see the hearts and flowery pink stuff. I also like to see lace. I also like to see random elements in there, like hot air balloons, planes, trains, clocks...I know there's more I love to see, but can't think of them all right now. Just... things... lol. That don't necessarily have a theme, like not a hot air balloon themed kit, but one just stuck in there, ya know? lol, if I think of more things, I'll come back and add them.

I'm with Darcy... more tomboyish... so I can still scrap about boy pages. LOL!

however... I still want ton of glitter, bling, scatter, etc... my son won't mind those on his pages, too.

I like all girl kits from the girliest girl kits full of flowers and lace to more gender neutral kits that can be used for girl pages. But, for what it's worth, I'd love to see:

- Girl kits with more contrast in colours (sometimes all the pink can blur...) and patterns
- Girl kits that incorporate some black/white cardstock or kraft paper -- but still slightly decorated to fit in with the kit, kwim?
- Girl kits in boy colours -- I'd love little girl kits with girly patterns and lots of flowers in blue/white/gold, green/beige, red/blue/white/green, black/white/red
- Some less girly items thrown into a very girly kit. Sometimes a crumpled paper, a heavy metal item, or a graphic paper are just what you need...

Amen! We call Rachel our gearhead princess because while she loves her princesses and ballerinas, going to the tool store with her Daddy to look at 'screwbobbers' is one of her most favorite things...she's so into trains, trucks, tractors, etc.
I actually have a picture of her wearing her full-length Snow White gown, mowing the grass with a toy mower. Hard to use a fairy tale pink princess kit with a photo like that. LOL

La you are one of the few who does and SSD in general does a pretty good job. I actually did a layout about all the pink on another site. I just got to say there is more to girls than pink and frills and princesses.

That is totally my Carrie. I have pics of her in a bright blue tutu digging in the dirt with a princess bucket and skinned knees and then triking around with the bucket on the handles. She pretends to be Thomas the Train Engine. And I love boy kits but they are hard to combine with uber girly kits without some serious recoloring.

LOL Thomas, Bob, and Manny are big at our house. I'm always on the lookout for a traditional boy-type kit that has a girl (ie plane kit w/girl pilot; train w/girl engineer; purple or pink tools; etc etc)

I like a lot of these suggestions. My girls are definitely feminine but dainty little princesses they are not, skirts and digging in dirt is pretty familiar. I'm with the others that would like more color variations. I'd like to see more metals, trims, paint, textures and non-flower/heart shaped elements, charms. I'd also like to see more non-themed kits (ie not make-up, shopping, phone etc) geared more towards older girls tweens/teens, much seems to be geared toward the very young or more mature set.

LOL Rachel's party last year was Thomas...she wants Thomas again this year but I am balking. We'll be in Corpus for her birthday so I'm thinking beachy (she likes Lilo & Stitch...or Little Mermaid...or even Spongebob)

I absolutely LOVE the chocolate brown/pink combo for girls and would love a kit with those colors.

I agree with the "less girly" girl kits. My daughter LOVES Handy manny but also loves to wear her dresses. She'll insist on wearing a dress and then rolling in the dirt. So girly girl kits don't always work for us.

I HATE when I open a kit that looks sooooo full in the preview only to like 15 elements, 10 of which are the same flower in different colors.

So maybe more variety within the kits?

My girl-i-o is a total horse girl. She rides english and works in the barn doing just about everything. So she is real outdoorsy. She is also a total bookworm. Her fav color is aquamarine.... not teal, no way, aquamarine... I think she got it from that movie of the same name. I use both boy and girl kits when I scrap her. I look for colors that seem to evoke the emotion of the moment. As far as elements go, I like everything from flowers to rusted metal. It probably isn't much help, but I thought I would add to voices here.

The one thing I would love to see is a Karate kit. My daughter is currently a brown belt and working toward her black belt. She is also not a girlie-girl as a lot of our girls- it seems. Frilly pink kits would be good for baby pictures however I do like the kits that are bold bright colors with non-gender specific elements. Having said that, some things my not-so-girlie-girl is into are Peace Signs (anything with them!), Pokemon, Art, Scrapbooking, and animals.

Things I would like to see in girl kits are some grungy elements, wire/metal items, mesh, stains (cuz girls are messy too LOL) as well as the normal ribbons, buttons, etc. Hope this helps!
