I answered after breakfast, but the true answer is just before I leave for work. Last thing I do.

I answered when I get up, however, some work days it ends up being after breakfast. I go for getting it done when I remember to do it and not sweating the whole before or after breakfast thing.

Precisely that! Though I don't go to work so it's probably quite a while after my cereal, I have a hot drink, do some jobs and do my teeth the next time I have to go upstairs to tidy away.

I think I heard somewhere you're not meant to brush your teeth straight after eating but I can't remember why!

I said when I get up because I eat breakfast at work. If I were home all day it would be after breakfast, if I remembered, lol.

I voted both..I always brush when I get up...and usually again after breakfast which is usually a couple hours after I'm up

I usually do it after eating: breakfast, lunch and dinner(or before bed). I'm a freak, but then I've also never had a cavity in my 37 years.

I'm a lot like Meg. I brush when I get up, but I'm not one to eat right away, gotta have my coffee first, so I usually brush again after I eat.

When I get up I take my medicine and brush my teeth. I have to wait 45 minutes until I can eat something and there is no way I could wait that long to brush. Sometimes I will use mouth wash after I eat.

It depends. Lately I've been brushing before breakfast because I don't have time to eat before taking DD to school. And I have bad breath if I don't do something. But generally, it would be after breakfast!

I voted when I get up. It's the first thing I do after I get out of the shower because I can't stand it anymore. And I usually don't eat breakfast until I get to work so that's not an option.

I have to brush my teeth first thing in the morning, they are furry and feel gross (I am a tummy sleeper, and a drooler, so my mouth is hangin' open all night - yup, more than ya needed to know. lol)
I also brush them an hour later, as I am getting ready for work, after I have eaten breakfast, because I have issues with peanut butter breath. hehee I eat a blueberry bagel with peanut butter on it every morning.

i rinse with mouthwash as soon as i get up and brush after i eat...hate the feeling of food stuck between my teeth...

I brush my teeth in the morning before I go to work. I don't eat breakfast at home, I eat at the office. I don't keep a toothbrush at work. I do have floss though I've never had a cavity {knocks on wood}

Brushing my teeth is the FIRST thing I do after getting out of bed. I cannot STAND the taste in my mouth upon waking. I can't imagine eating breakfast and then brushing - yuck!!

I usually do both, because I often don't eat breakfast until hours after I get up, if at all. So I brush when I get up and put my contacts in, and again when I eat.

I brush when I get up. I can't stand that sticky, pasty feeling. I can't wait for breakfast because I usually grab a Kashi bar and eat it when I get to work while I'm having my morning coffee.

Same here! But since I eat breakfast at work, I said when I get up in the morning.
