I have v10. I'm not unhappy with it but I got a coupon for 12, and those darn coupons are so tempting! I'm just wondering if you know of anything in 12 that I might think I can't live without?

I'm still on 9 and I got a coupon too but it was for only 10% and that's not enough of an incentive for me!!!

I did. Mostly because I upgraded my computer and my new one had Windows 7. My old version of ACDSee didn't support Windows 7 and kept crashing. ACDSee 12 and Windows 7 get along swimmingly -- no crashing, works super-fast.
I see on their web site that if you own an ACDSee product you can get 30% off and if you have ACDSee 6 or higher, you can get a special coupon as well. Not sure how much total off you'd get... I bought mine for $34.29 US because I pre-ordered it a month before its release. |

ditto to what Heddy said. Forced to covert due to Windows 7.
12 is much more stable. interface is different - but tagging is easier, in my opinion. There's likely even more I haven't yet turned on or twigged to yet. If you get their e-mails, check back to maybe April-ish? you would have rec'd the deal Heddy mentioned, and I think it's still live until the end of the month. |

Hey Nettie, how is the tagging easier? I'm still on 9 too but would consider upgrading if it's easier to use.

Ditto. I upgraded to Windows7 as well and my previous versoon of ACDSee kept crashing anyway, so I wanted to give it a chance (didn't like any other software I tried) and bought the Photo Manager 12 (I had Pro 2.5 before, but decided not to buy Pro, but the normal Photo Manager). So far I'm very happy, everything is very smooth, no crashing, no problems. *knocks on wood*

![]() other pros: it's much, much easier to send photos via e-mail, it works without crashing with my network when scanning, it saves the image basket , there's also some uplinks to facebook but i'm not socially networked all that well. I can also fairly easily do some speed tagging - though not as well as some - and definitely not at the Daily Digi post level - but much faster than on earlier versions. So less headaches stability wise, easier interface plus Image Basket I'd say are the pros if you aren't forced into it by Windows 7. Hope that helps! |

I still have 9 too, and wondered about this.

That does help a lot (and it's what I was hoping -- I hate "dragging" to tag and the other check-box pane is way too small)! Thanks Nettie!
