Default Do you wear Christmas/Holiday sweaters?

My mom is one of those people who has gobs of Christmas clothing and jewelry, and pretty much dresses every day in something festive once December comes. So it's kind of ingrained in me.

However, I only have a few very tasteful cardigans with Christmas beading on them. I usually only wear them to a party or event. But my friends act like any Christmas sweater is an "ugly" Christmas sweater. I say, there are some that are pretty!

And I do love wearing Christmas socks and earrings!

To each their own. I think people should wear whatever they like and makes them feel good. I personally wouldn't be caught dead in one. I will rock some holiday socks though

I generally wear Christmas appliqued sweatshirts ... much more comfy in my opinion. I also wear turtlenecks with holiday decorations on them layered under something else (like a sweatshirt). I wear the Christmas socks once in awhile but they always seem to be short socks and my legs get cold! ... I do wear Christmas earrings ... and pins.

LOL Mary, I feel the same way! I've seen some really gorgeous, tastefully done beaded sweaters for dressy occasions. I bought one about 4 years ago and I've worn it twice. So I voted yes!

My mom and I used to make our own every year; we'd get holiday fabrics, cut out appliques and put them on t-shirts (we lived in Fla, ha ha) and then we'd use puffy paints to decorate them. It was a fun thing we did together every year!

In fact, you just inspired me...I think I'll do that with my kids this year. Even if I look ridiculous for a day in a home-made holiday shirt, I want my kiddos to have fun memories like that!

My DH has told me on several occasions that if I were to ever wear a Christmas sweater, he'd never have s*x with me again.

This sometimes happens when we are at Christmas at my parents' as my mom is full on hard core elementary school teacher Christmas sweatered UP.

Not sweaters but I will wear some christmasy pj's. I dont think there is anything wrong with christmas clothes just not something I would really wear.

ETA:I voted other since I will wear pj's and probably some slippers/socks.

I have a few Christmas T-shirts that I wear, and I love me some christmas socks. I also have a couple pair of Christmas earrings, but they're kind of dainty and simple. I also have 3 or 4 pair of Christmas pj bottoms.

Mostly earrings & socks here... although I'm not against a pretty sweater, but since becoming a SAHM....I rarely wear anything other than jammie pants/sweats.

One of our yearly Christmas traditions is to host an ugly Christmas sweater party with my friends. The idea is to go through your closet, your local thrift store or your mom's closet and come up with the ugliest Christmas sweater. We all chip in 5 bucks for the gift prize and its the yearly BFF gift exchange. We have a BLAST!!! We go all out and try to outdo each other every year. But really at the core is that we all love to wear Christmas sweaters, and don't get the chance, so we bring them out for the party!

Here we are last year -

PS - This event usually involves LOTS of wine

I voted other just because I didn't totally agree with the no answer. LOL I would wear a pretty holiday sweater - you know like if it had hollies and bells or something like that and wasn't too busy. But, not those totally fugly ones with big reindeer heads on them. Yuck!

word. I guess when I think of them, I think of like a 50 year old woman who is busy running around making sure everyone has enough to eat kind of thing.

I wear holiday t-shirts, but they are tasteful (and barely Christmas... one is black and pink). I hate sweaters. They suffocate me. So no the Christmas sweater thing. I would wear socks, but I don't have any. It annoys me to have socks that I can only wear one month a year, too, so I don't buy them. PJs... yes. I have Christmas PJs and I wear them during the cold months because I figure no one is seeing them but my family.

I have four-yes-four...one day a week for each week between christmas and new year...
I pride myself on the total silliness of them-my students LOVE them...
My favorite is a tall santa with a huge stack of presents wearing a pair of knee high boots that says..."These Boots Were Made for Shopping"...I LOVEEEE it!

All of mine are sweatshirts, although if I could find a sweater I like I would buy it...
