Umm, yeah, I had no idea living in TX would be like living in a jungle. Seriously, I have seriously never seen so many bugs! Ugh and the SOUND of them at night. So gross.

Don't even get me started on trying to come home at night with the porch light on. Having to dodge tons of bugs on the ground is not my idea of a fun time.

YUCK!! I guess thereis one pretty big advantage to living in high dessert!! The just over 3 years we've been here, it's pretty much just been moths. But, I'm jealous that it's warming up for you, still snowing here...

I think it's mostly due to the humidity because I've lived in both CA and CO and never experienced anything like it. Just one more reason why the West is the best.

lol then you all would not like where I live..my house in in the woods...so we get every creepy crawly there is and summer is awful. When we move we're not going to be right in the woods again..I love the trees and the shade but the bugs/lizards/snakes etc I could live without.

I hate bugs. Where I am from we got tons and tons of Box Elder and Grasshoppers, I hate them. Here, we just get tons and tons of skeeters. Too much water.

Oooh nice. You just reminded me that in a few months the black flies will be out here. Ugh. They are so horrible they just take little chunks out of you when they bite. And they'll bite anywhere. Up your nose, in your ears, they dive bomb for your eyes.....serious trouble here.

But flying ants you can keep thank you very much. We have too many bugs here as it is.

Rebecca you keep that snow right where it's at. I'm done. I'm ready for spring, bugs or no bugs. Bring it on!

You wanna know what I saw last night?

Let me just say that is must be mating season for roaches. Not the nasty little food roaches but the big palmetto bugs (as we call them) or tree roaches.

Gah! Last year we had those in our kitchen...I hope they don't come in this year! When we got married and were getting our pictures taken, they didn't mention it was flying ant season and I actually stepped on an ant hill and had them all crawling up into my wedding dress...icky!!

Ick, ick, and more ick on the bugs . . . it's just about the only thing I'm afraid of, but I detest them one & all!! Unfortunately, they're a part of living in Texas - but there ARE worse things . . . like SNOW, Rebecca. You're sweet to offer, but you may keep it right where it is, thank you!!
