Talent abounds here!

I am feeling a bit intimidated by all you great scrappers. I use to think I had a pretty good aesthetic but now I see I have alot to learn when it cmes to digital scrapbooking. I am sure this will be a great place to learn. Everywhere I turn, there are LO that just talk my breath away.

So do only the best and the brightest hang here or is there a learning curve that people have ridin?

At this point I get frozen with fear at my keyboard knowing for sure that I can not produce anything half as good as most of you. But I am nothing if not a tooper... so i push on.

Thanks to you all for inspiring me and pushing me to learn more.

(Oh and anyone who might have an application from me for a CT, I understand perfectly with all these brilliant scrappers around why its not my turn)

Don't worry. We are all still learning. SSD is a great place to hang out, ask questions, get feedback and lots of support.

BTW, I just took a quick peek in your gallery, and your layouts are beautiful. Don't sell yourself short!

I agree! Scrap how you love and what you love w/out trying to be like others in the community. I think we are always learning and trying to "be better"

I felt the same way when I came here, and still do.

I think the people here are all extremely talented, but never ever ever doubt your own talent and aesthetic!

I am amazed by the talent here, too. It is a bit intimidating, but it also inspires me to learn more! I have found that everyone is very nice and willing to share any knowledge that they have - so if you see something you like in the gallery and want to know how they did it, all you have to do is ask!

Take a look at how many posts some of the members have, and you can understand why they are so good... lots of practice! I try to keep that in mind

I certainly understand how you feel, Stephanie - I feel very much that way myself when I compare my abilities to the many phenomenal artists here at SSD.

HOWEVER, what Meghan said is right . . . scrap for YOU & try not to make comparisons. We are almost always our own worst critics, and nobody here (except yourself) will ever make you feel anything less than wonderful. It's an awesome community filled with lots of talent & inspiration . . . but even more importantly - friendship, information, support, and encouragement.
