Default Those of you doing Weight Watchers...

how are you doing???

I fell off the wagon and haven't kept track of my points the past 4 weeks and am totally struggling with getting back into the swing of tracking my points again. If it weren't for the extra nursing points, I'd only have 5pts left for the day

tell me I'm not alone LOL

I'm not doing WW, but today is the first day of my....new 'life'.... or at least that's the plan.

I fell off the wagon after Brody was born & I've been NOT doing anything I should for the past year... oh.boy.

I sort of fell off for 2 weeks in April when the kids were off school and I couldn't make it to the gym. Overall I am doing well though, a bit bored of repetative meals due to my fussy eating but I'm managing lol.

Since I started on the 8th March I have mananged to get rid of 24lbs so I really shouldn't complain!

the last 3-4 weeks totally went down the tubes and I gained 2.2 lbs but I'm back on the bandwagon this week and I'm even gonna try and run later. We can do this!

Falling off the wagon is so easy. Getting back on is the WORST.
I'm not doing WW, but am trying to get more active again and I'm fiiiiiiighting it. It's so stupid too. I know I need to, and I know I feel good afterwards. yet I'm STILL throwing myself an "I wish I didn't have to do this crap" pity party. It's pathetic.

I'm doing some sort of a workout tonight, come hell or high water! Lol!

When I'm stressed, my WW goes totally out the window! Guess what I've been doing for the past month? With the flooding, we've been eating out a lot! At first there was no time to eat because we were packing and sandbagging and whatever else needed to be done, so we ate out when we had the chance. Now, it's just waiting to see if we'll be evacuated, so we've been snacking in the evenings.

It sucks.

I'm sucking at it! LOL

I have managed to reach my 10% goal and have lost a little over 22 lbs now (about 42 since Derek's birth)....still have 35 more to go. SIGH I have found it EXTREMELY hard to count points this time around...someday I may be skinny again!!!

I feel off just over a year ago once I quit nursing - dang i miss those points! I had lost about 30 pounds but have gained almost 20 back - I suck.

I'm not doing weight watchers, I keep trying just to exercise more and eat better but i'm seriously sucking at it. This has been a trying time emotionally for me these last few months and unfortunately i'm not the kind of girl that loses weight when things are sucky.

I fell off the wagon so long ago that the wagon is out of sight!

I've given up on counting points... so now I just cut out starchy carbs and sugars and see how that goes... so far I've been able to drop the 8 pounds I gained before the wagon hit that pot hole! My big problem is exercising... my mom, who watches kiddo while I go to the gym, has had some back problems... and hubby busy with meetings during the day... and this weather is just not spring like at all... all excuses, I know... but gosh darn it... they sure sound like good excuses to the ol' brain. So today - I start a fresh... there is a new wagon and it's all pur-ty...

Kristin, you don't suck. That's life. You can't change your past, you have control of your future. You're trying to do better now, and every little bit helps!

This is me...I'm the complete opposite of lose or don't eat when stressed. Actually eating/cooking is my go-to coping skill for any & all emotions!

I weighed in Saturday and I actually lost 2lbs...my last weigh in was like 3 weeks ago and before that months ago. It's rough staying committed especially when I look at how much weight I need to lose but this time I'm really trying to stay focused.

I'm right there with you, but I think it was closer to 2 months ago that I fell off the wagon. I wasn't losing that well on it-I'd lost something like 8 lbs in 4 months, and when I looked back over my weight tracking I realized that for 2 of those months I'd been gaining and losing the same lb or 2 with no real progress made. So I got frustrated and gave up temporarily. I keep trying to get started back up, but it's not working so far. I've always eaten well (meaning lots of fruits, veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains). But when I don't track I snack too much on some higher fat, sugary foods and don't lose.

I can't wait until fall. Then my youngest will finally be in preschool 2 days a week, and I'm joining Curves. I've wanted to join a gym forever because I can't get motivated to work out at home, but I have no child care and the gyms near me with it seem to be sooo expensive, wanting to charge a family rate rather than just a single membership with a childcare fee.

I've been thinking about signing up...how are you all liking the new points system? Is that part of the problem with motivation (actually making it harder to lose weight)? I'm a little worried I'd overdo the fruit.

This is the first time in nearly 3 years that I'm not pregnant or breast-feeding...and my body is telling me it is seriously time to get back in shape. My biggest concern is time. DH and I need to do this together, but he's not totally on board yet. We both work full-time and with two little ones it's all about them at home. I need something that fits the craziness...preferably still allowing me to sleep (at least when the kids decide to!).

Anyway, sorry for the hijack. LOL I completely sympathize with all of you that are struggling to make healthy eating and exercising a lifestyle change. It seems to be a never-ending struggle!

I gave up on WW after my 4th time. I was always able to lose on it successfully, but I could never keep it off. I finally figured out it was because on WW you have to think about food ALL the time and that didn't work for me. Now I'm back up to my heaviest...ugh...and I'm trying something else - a 90-day challenge (sorry, I know I already mentioned the shakes in another thread) to get it off for good before my birthday in August. I'm incredibly busy (as we all are), so this is a good thing for me and I can focus on other the other things in my life.

comforting to know I'm not alone... I did really well with tracking points up until dinner last night... at least I'm working my way back into the groove right? LOL

Teresa, I actually really like the new points system... I think it forces you to make wiser food choices... I do however struggle with the fact that fruit is 0 points... so I try to make sure I'm eating more vegetables and limiting my fruit intake.

This is gonna sound cheesy, but Jillian Michaels says it during the cool down of week 1 of her latest DVD (Ripped in 30) and it really resonates with me when I hear it.

"Transformation is not a future event. It is a present activity."

I did really well yesterday, went home and did a workout right away, and then went out to eat and went nuts. Oh well. Today is a new day and my turkey wrap with hummus was delish!

Isn't she great at telling you things you don't want to hear while sweating and panting?

"You can't work out for 20 minutes AND take breaks..."
"If you want that, you gotta work for it"

Meh, I know this. But man, sometimes I wish I didn't.

Yeah for everyone trying hard today! In an effort to get remotivated last night, I spent an hour reading success stories and forum posts on the Weight Watchers site, then I planned out my points for the day. So far so good on following my plan today! If I can keep making myself do it the night before I'll be fine, but when I try to eat and track throughout the day I get busy, lose track, and give up.

My favorite weight loss quote is pretty similar, though it wasn't originally said about weight loss. I have it on the cover of my food journal (well, the one I use when I'm not doing WW Online).

"Success will never be a big step in the future; success is a small step taken just now." -Jonatan Martensson

The jury is still out on it for me. I like it a lot, since having free fruit means my overall food choices are a lot better. But I find that with WW in general I lose wonderfully while I'm nursing and not as well once I stop. This time I'm biting the bullet and trying to do it without using the weekly points, so I'll see if that helps. I also suspect I have a thyroid problem (strong family history of it), though I've been lazy about finding a new doctor and getting tested. If I do, then the fault is my body's and not the WW plan.
