A couple weeks ago someone (sorry I can't remember who!) posted about doing some homeschool with little ones & preschoolers.
I was totally intrigued by the thread I started poking around on some of the links. They have inspired me to do some supplemental activities with my son (he's in a 2 day a week preschool which we love) in order to avoid the "Can I watch something Mommy???" right after he wakes up in the morning!! ![]() I started with some 'Bug' Themed printables, story books, & art projects. I put each one in a plastic tub with a number. Then he spun a spinner and had to 'hunt' for the box with that number. Then we did the activity. At the end I had a big sensory box (full of rice and plastic bug toys) for him to explore with a big nifty magnifying glass. He had a blast. And Mommy had a blast too. It's been fun to come up with fun things we can do together. At the end of the week we are going to do some 'Robot' themed activities with some 'magnet' science projects too. He loves science experiements. Here's a couple pix: ![]() ![]() So thanks everyone for inspiring me and helping me feel confident I could do it! ![]() Here's some of the links I've enjoyed: http://1plus1plus1equals1.blogspot.com/ http://www.first-school.ws/theme/alphaletter_p/r.htm http://countingcoconuts.blogspot.com/ http://www.teachpreschool.org/ http://prekinders.com/ http://totallytots.blogspot.com/
