Default What are you listening to these days?

We just loaded a bunch of old CDs into iTunes - some Kenny Chesney, Queen (yay!) and the girls have been hooked on Adele. I just got Andy Brad Paisley's new CD - "This is Country Music" but I need more NEWness. So what are you listening to as of late?

I've had All American Rejects on repeat. lol It's seriously time to switch it up again, but I always get on kicks where I listen to one band over and over. The last few were:
Pink Floyd
Every Time I Die
Brand New

And of course always My Chemical Romance. I listen to that while I knit. lol

DH is finally buying me an iPod this weekend. I have been running listening to AC/DC radio. It's good but, I get tired of it cuz the variety is not as great. All good music from different bands but sometimes I want a little hip hop too. kwim?

I would be curious to know everyone's running/workout playlist......wanna share? At least some of it?

I listen to high paced music that's fun to sing along with and move to when I have to get stuff done (like working out).

Kings of Leon's newest CD Come Around Sundown is awesome!! There's not a day that goes by where I don't listen to at least some of the songs. Of course, their older stuff is awesome too.

I can't help much with NEWNESS. I seem to gravitate to older stuff more and more ...though I have to say you have good taste with Mr. Chesney, lol. Have you got his new album, hemingway's whiskey?

GLEE music! I won't buy JB's music (and a couple other artist) but I sure will buy the Glee version!

After several ladies here recommended her, I can heartily recommend Adele--especially her second album 21 Another would be Lenka's Two album--both just have awesome, singalong kind of music

i second this. adele is amazing.

i'm home for the summer, so i have radio stations that i'm used to (yes, i was at school for a year and never found radio stations there). so i'm back to listening to the "hits" station. which has top 40, or whatever.

Do you use Pandora? It's a free online, customizable "radio" station. You create stations based on a favorite artist and then it chooses other artists that have a similar style. Or you can pick a genre. So if you're in the mood for a station based on Adele, you can have it, and you may discover other artists that you like. You can create any kind of station you like. Old time country, 80s power ballads, seasonal music, current hits, etc. Anything you can think of. I have a station I listen to all the time based on the Wicked soundtrack (mine plays music from Wicked, Rent, Glee, and the Phantom of the Opera!)
