Default Janet Template Questions

Has anyone ever printed a Shutterfly album using Janet's 2 Many Photos templates? If so how do they print? I've never printed a Shutterfly album and I want to start working on our Disneyland photos . I want to use Janet's albums but I want to make sure that when I print I don't have any problems. I've heard that you have to leave room here or there and all that stuff and since I've never printed that's all foreign to me...I appreciate the help! Thanks!

I haven't used those templates for a Shutterfly album, but Janet has a LOT of great templates that have two different page side options (a left side and a right side, that you mix and match), that creates TONS of different options. I bet they would print really well!

She even has this Disney themed one!

And I know you didn't ask for kit suggestions, but Meg has this AWESOME Disney kit...

(Or, there's also a bundle that includes cruise and airplane stuff)

I would check this link out... I would probably scrap as is then separate each page and then to avoid having anything cut off I would probably shrink each page to fit the measurements and then use a solid background to fill the bleed area.

That being said, I've never done a photobook so I can't tell you how it would turn out if you just sent them in as 12x12 pages... but I'm guessing according to that link that you would lose the edges of each page so the photos in the center of the template would be cut off.

Oh, I just realized that that link actually has templates so once you separate each page out, you can insert each page into that template.

I did my Australian vacation album using a few of her templates. I had it printed 8x8 at Shutterfly and then at Adoramapix so I could see the difference (I've had pages printed before but never an album so I wanted to see the difference). I would say that shutterfly actually trimmed less around the outside, but the pages don't lay flat. So, any journaling that is too close to the middle of two page layout isn't legible. I can't say I notice it on the pics, unless I compare the albums side by side. None of the templates I used had pictures going to the edge, so what was trimmed around the outside wasn't a problem for me. Overall, I was happy with how it turned out. I will say that when I compare the two albums, the colors are a bit different. I think that is because the shutterfly album is press printed, where the Adoramapix is printed on actual photo paper.

ETA - most of the layouts are in my gallery if you want to take a look. I started with two of Janet's templates and tweaked them a few times to make them work.
