I listen to hard rock and metal, but I still love Michael Jackson. Saw him in concert when I was 8, it was awesome.

I don't think there is really a musical genre that people wouldn't expect me to like. Hmm...

One Direction. I don't know why I like them so much...I don't find them annoying at all, even though I feel like I should.

LOL Of course, not with little ears around. That is what I listen to when I am all by myself. No one would EVER guess it........well, I don't think they would unless they know me really well.

I listen to a bit of this and a bit of that...my guilty pleasure would probably be 80s hair metal. Although I see no reason to feel guilt about it. LOL

I also still have my Donny and Marie LPs from the 70s...but I don't listen to them. Just hate to throw away records.

Anyone who is close to me knows that I'll listen to everything from Tchaivovsky to Poison to BB King to Alan Jackson but I don't know if they know how much I really like John Denver and Neil Diamond...

I really don't think people are very surprised by the music that I like because I have very wide ranging tastes. I think most people are surprised by the ones that I really DON'T like, such as Celine Dion and Josh Groban. No thank you.

Jimmy Buffett, Eagles, Journey would probably be the surprise, but I also really like early 90's stuff, Dave Matthews Band, They Might Be Giants and a lot of the girl bands

Mine are kind of polar opposites-- I love old-school rock like Meatloaf, and I love pop (Lady Gaga, LMFAO, Ke$ha...) I'd never admit either of those to even my best friend!

I don't have a genre anyone would be surprised I listen to.

I like stuff from the 80's - pop, classic, alternative, punk, R&B, some rap. Music began for me around 1978 & ended in approximately 1992 when I joined the 9 to 5 workforce and pretty much stopped listening to anything that wasn't playing during my 20 minute commutes. Occasionally new songs or bands interest me but I don't hear much new stuff these days. I wouldn't recognize that Beiber person if he came to my front door & have never heard of most of the people up for a Grammy. Music doesn't play much of a roll in my life. If I am listening to something it's either 80s or an audiobook most likely

I'm sure that will change as my kids get older & find their own sound

I listen to a lot of different kinds of music - but not all lol. I like mostly hard rock/punk/alternative/pop/rap/r&b/80's... I don't really listen to country, or anything older than the 80's. Not really into all the disney and young stuff like Selena Gomez, Justin Beiber - with the exception of Miranda Cosgrove I her. Some I like that are surprising to some though, are Kenny Rogers and Billy Joel(older stuff).

I <3 John Denver! I also like Ricky Skaggs and Hank Williams Sr. much to my kids dismay. They hate listening to any of them. I also really love Jimmy Buffet, The Beach Boys & Elvis.

I very much dislike The Beatles, Micheal Jackson & Garth Brooks. And I am the only one in our house who does not like them.

Oh Yes!!! - Ok -My children are a little shocked when I break out the old HS toons... I am a child of the (late) 80's - Cure, Depeche Mode - Echo and The Bunnymen, Violent Fems, and yes the classics - Sex Pistols, Ramones, the Clash -

I scrap to Master & Servant and Somebody
