![]() ![]() Last year it went so smooth. Everyday, I did it! This year, I did 5 days and just went muh yuck I ![]() ![]() and tossed it all away...okay, I kept one page, but I am gonna rework it. My December Daily, just not liking my pages at all. ![]() ![]() |

I am sure it is fine. Don't ever throw it out, fresh eyes see new possibilities and strengths. Walk away and come back, but don't ever toss. But if you are not feeling it and not happy doing it, then let it go. Do what makes you happy.

Haha! You got 5 days further in than I did! Cheer up Anne - you are superwoman in SO many ways, and a busy mom of 7 - cut yourself some slack and enjoy the season with that lovely family of yours.

well, you are definitely ahead of me. I didn't even attempt to do this. But I agree with others- dont delete them. Just step away for a few days and come back and maybe a spark of inspiration will hit!

^for sure this. I just finished my 2010 DD, and even though I hated the way it was going, made it work. Originally started doing 5x7 double pages, and when I went back to it last week, made them all into 12x12 so they can print right into our family album.

I'm totally "behind" too... I just keep taking pictures and buying more supplies and remember that the most important thing is to record the memories no matter how "ugly" they are... your kids will appreciate it and love it and look at your pages and they don't care if it's "pretty" according to mama's standards... take the time and make memories with your kiddos they are soooo much more important than making an album that meets your standards and you can always come back to it
and the days that I don't take pictures, I just journal and write about how I'm feeling this Christmas, how the sickies have taken over our house and how tired I am and how I'm not going to get everything done that's on my list, but that's ok... what's more important are the cuddles with my sick kids... I will admit that last night I was in a major funk... I didn't know why, I mean, we had such a fun weekend of activities... and then this morning I remembered that I'm stressed out about little things that I "think" are big things but have been enjoying a morning of just cuddling with the kiddos and not worrying about cleaning the house for our refinance closing tomorrow... and I'm much happier now. ![]() |

and I say this all the time to myself...
you can't make memories if you're too busy making your layouts look "perfect"... eventually you have nothing to scrap about because you spend so much time making those layouts "perfect" that will never be "perfect" and not making the memories you need to make your layouts in the first place... |

I can't keep up with it either, but I keep reminding myself to take a few pictures every day of whatever is going on so that if I want to put something together later I can. Plus there will be a million Christmas kits I'll have to scrap with next year for my CT's before the season so having pictures makes that easier. I just keep my point and shoot out and accessible and I'm giving myself permission to just enjoy the season as it comes. There is so much that has to be done, why put more pressure on myself? Even if I scrap just a few pages it's better than nothing.
I think even if you just write down little bits of what is making this holiday special (or not so special) for you so you have them later at least you are getting something down. I'd kill for pics of my house and how I decorated a few years ago. I can't figure out how in the heck I did the garland down the stairwell. LOL! If only I had thought to take a few pictures.

I gave up. I'll be happy to end the season with some great layouts and not worry about having something from every day of the month. We've had plenty of non-Christmasy, very boring days mixed in with the fun activities. No one needs to see a layout about my sewer issues.

I've pretty much given up as well...and I was just striving for a "memories" album, not necessarily a Daily. But I can't even keep up with that either! Our move from SC to El Paso just got bumped up by several days, meaning that we need to get to bustin' our little (or not so little) booties to get ready...and I'm just feeling a little bit of stress about it all.
