I'm pretty sure, although not 100% sure, that one of the CTs or designers here posted a tutorial a while back-maybe a year ago? about using the Photoshop text tool/lasso tool to create a text block that automatically followed the outlines of the area you wanted to insert a text block into.
Did I explain that well at all, LOL? It's been driving me nuts trying to find it over the past few days, so I've decided to ask for help. It may or may not be a technique that Cindy Schneider has used in her templates. I'm not sure? The only reason I didn't bookmark that tutorial was because at the time, I never thought I'd ever get a copy of Photoshop! I have PS2 now, and would love to use that technique. Help? ![]() |

Are you thinking of these by Misty?

OMG, thank you both SO MUCH. The little ocd demon in me thanks you from the bottom of its little heart. And thank you from me, too.
I think it was Misty's tutorial I was thinking of, but Sheri's tutorial is a lifesaver as well. I managed to snag Photoshop 2 for free from Adobe a few weeks ago when they were giving it away; and I only heard about it from one of the SSD designers (I think) on Facebook. I'm only just really starting to feel confident in working with it. I do have to say--the fact it doesn't keep the file name on the layers is highly annoying. >:-( |

I know it's a ways off, but I will also be publishing Text Paths 2.0 for my next SSD tutorial, coming on 6/27

I still have Sula's tutorial open in my browser from a few days ago when I used it on a layout. Her website is brimming with information about scrapping with PS
