bonsai?

has anyone trained/grown a bonsai? bf bought me a young umbrella tree bonsai (ie its still green) and i'm trying to find more specific "how to's" but am having trouble finding exactly what i'm looking for. i know the umbrella tree is supposed to be on the easy/beginner end so i'm hopeful for this little baby. of course i can just say whatever, put it in a big pot and let it just grow freely LOL but i want to give it a wack.

if anyone has any experience/resources i'd appreciate any info! my pot is terrible (thin an deep instead of wider and shallow) so i know i will be transplanting it sooner rather than later. it is also 3 little plants, so im not sure if im supposed to twist them together slowly (with the wire bending) or just let them stay separate. anyway.. thanks in advance if anyone knows anything about bonsai <3

That sounds awesome! I wish I had some advice, but I've never had one. Hope you have fun with it!!
