Default Speaking of our annoying boys...

What is up with my dh and the dishwasher? Everyday I hear, "Hon? Is the dishwasher clean?"

Uh... why don't you open it, and if you see food on the dishes then NO, IT IS NOT CLEAN!

David has been known to put dirty dishes in WITH the clean dishes and just rewash them. So yeah, I know.

And do they realize that there is a garbage can/garbage disposal for the unfinished FOOD? And that if you put the plates WITH the unfinished food on it IN the dishwasher instead....that there is no MAGIC PORTAL for the food to vanish into?

We argue about the proper way to load the dang thing. He can only fit in about 1/2 of the amt. of dishes I do because he loads it all wrong. SO annoying! And then he gets all bent out of shape because I go behind him and rearrange everything, lol!

OMGosh! We always wash off our dishes before we put them in the dishwasher! I hate it when we have company and they offer (insist) to do the dishes and then don't rinse off the food & I just have to redo them all! lol I saw something the other day that there's a new dishwasher w/a garbage disposal in the bottom so that you don't have to rinse them! Sounds like heaven to me!

DH is the one who does the dishes in the house. When we got a new dishwasher 5 years ago he got very know it all about how it should be loaded & how full the soap dish should be & how much stuff should be in the washer - you know, for maximum efficiency and cost savings. One day I told him since he was so deeply concerned about the dishwasher he was now responsible for it. I think I have loaded the dishwasher a half a dozen times in 5 years and 2 of those were when he was out of town for over a week at a time.

Yes, I will let dirty dishes sit in the sink for a few days until he gets around to loading it because I will not do anything that might be construed as my wishing to take over doing the dishes.

DH has no clue how to load the dishwasher. he just throws everything in there willy nilly. I don't get it. With other stuff he is more orderly. If I recall correctly, though, his mom was the same way.

I don't like it when DH puts stuff in the dishwasher. He can't get in nearly as much as I can. Ours has some kind of garbage disposal in the bottom in case you have some random food left on them.

DH's job is to unload in the morning, because I hate that!

Mine don't always make it to the sink either! I think somewhere along the line they decided that I really enjoy cleaning and look forward to cleaning up after them everyday.
