Default I blinked and the year went by….

This year has really flown by for me… and I see that I hardly scrapped this year. So so much happened and kept me a bit MIA.

Our year started off sad…. I lost my niece.
Then my daughter bought a house with her fiancé and moved an hour and a half away.
Then bridal shower for that same daughter.
Then another daughter left for grad school.
Then I got a sewing room!!! Hehehe
Then summer and vacations…
Then another daughter moved out. And this daughter said I should post my sewing on TikTok… soooo …. I have been posting some videos on there too…. With her help. lol
Then a few weekend trips.
Then the wedding Thanksgiving weekend and my dad’s 70th birthday party the day after the wedding.

We have been so busy with helping the kids move and home repairs…etc. and the wedding. We also had our own home repairs and big projects… new patio doors and an enclosure.

And I have spent so much time sewing. I made and finished I think 7 quilts. A few more started.

Lots of other sewing, including a massive task of my Outlander inspired Halloween costumes. I used mostly sheets for all the pieces. And it required lots of hand sewing for the eyelets on the bodice and corset.

Then I treated myself to a new sewing machine. (It required a little roadtrip)

Hubby is a bit upset with me cause I said I did want to travel for the holiday break… I need a rest, at home.

What big events or projects kept you all busy this year???

Hopefully I find some scrapping motivation in the coming year.

Wow! You have had a busy year! I LOVE the Rapunzel/Tangled quilt! My favorite Disney movie! My oldest made a T-shirt quilt this year with the help of a lady from our Church, so Fun! Your costumes look so fun! Great job! Love that you are embracing your new sewing room so much!

What an amazing year, and look at how much you accomplished with your sewing and quilting! Those quilts are fabulous and the Outlander costumes are awesome.

We moved into my grandma's cottage in February, my Mama passed in March, and then it was a long time of just floating along. Then I came out of the fog and ended up coming here to SSD to design! I'm soooo happy about that event in my year. I did finish a couple of cross stitch pieces and had a couple of them framed and hung (instead of hiding in my cross stitch basket).

Hope you can make time in 2025 to scrap all those memories you made this year!

Wow what a great year! I can't wait to see some of those layouts! I LOVE the tshirts quilt- I need to do that for my daughter's sports shirts!

I have teenagers who both do plenty of sports & activities that it doesn't leave much time for anything else- just the usual keeping busy scrapping, cooking dinner & letting the dogs in/out all day. lol!

Merry Christmas & I hope 2025 is just as great!!!

Thanks!! The tshirt quilts were for a friend from high school for her kiddos. Actually... I just realized, each quilt I made was for someone else this year.... time to make myself something this coming year!
