Today's Independence Day prompt made me think aliens, which lead me to Lunar Love, which then had me combining space and mid-century design for a drive-in built to feed space race crowds.
We left the house about 5:30 pm to go to Bartram Park in Downtown Pensacola to watch the fireworks. You were so excited, although you can’t tell it in these photos. You were so cute with your cap on backwards! My American Boy!
It's always a little spooky in our house since this ghost balloon seems determined to haunt us forever. We got it in 2024 and I took that bottom right photo today. Seemed appropriate to scrap with this kit, especially since I'm already planning my 2026 Halloween balloon garland

Sometimes inspiration just jumps out at me while scrolling through Google Photos. I loved the main shot of the Starflyer but the night shot is what got me to make vellum stars.
I had a little too much fun layering all the different firework elements over the background paper. And of course, I had to have some stars (and glitter) for dramatic flair.
