2016 Challenge Bingo FAQ

I have a question about the recipe prompt calling for a "large monogram".
In general I know what a monogram is but problem is I am not sure there are kits with "monograms" (considering monograms are usually made by combining two or more letters).
So, my question is - can I use alpha of this kind for my page?

I think a monogram can be just one letter. I'm not an official question-answerer but I'm guessing you could even just use a font.

Monogram is like what Val said. You can just use one really big alphabet (or more if you want) on your page. For example, I had done a few with a big ampersand. Like this one::

I think I need a little help (probably ideas?) with prompt #22 - "it's a date".
First, since it's in quotes, do I have to include this phrase on my page?
Second, what could I possibly scrap? Is this some phrase/expression (I've never heard of that)? Or should I scrap a date with someone? I'm not dating anyone.

I sometimes say "it's a date" when I make an oppointment with a friend for exemple to go geocaching. Than it's not really a date like dating someone.

I'm going to scrap a page about me and a friend from work. We go on 'lunchdates' together, but we don't "date" eachother.

Does that make any sense at all?

I think Sara explained it perfectly. You can scrap about you and hubby going on a special/anniversary dinner and has 'it's a date' as a title or include it in a word strip or journaling.

Cool, thank you lovely girls :) Yes, I know "a date" is not only a romantic date hahah...just wasn't sure if it's an expression or something I may not know about :)

This is my first time to play the Bingo challenge, so I apologize if this question has been asked/answered before (although I searched & i couldn't find an answer). For the new 2016 rules regarding 2 Bingo lines - whether horizontal or vertical, or a combination of both - can you do on diagonal line, then an additional horizontal/vertical line to complete the 9 layouts?

I also have a question.
Are the coupons for April being sent on Monday before the iNSD games finish?
I want to complete the bingo card but there's too many purchases to be made so I was wondering if we would be able to use our coupons (in my case, 40% off) or just shop at the 30% off storewide sale? It kinda is strange because if we shop this weekend at 30% off, then the bingo coupons last only until Friday before the new releases.

Need ideas. What is meant by decade of design the 80s?
And what about head to toe? Thanks!
You can use a kit that is inspired by the 80s colors, like this one:

Or you can scrap your photos or things you like/remember or any memories of the 80s?

Head to toe, maybe scrap a full body photo instead of just a portrait? Or maybe use it as a title, a photo of someone got rained on from head to toe?
Here is a page I did for head to toe:

Hope those helps. :)

Decade of Design 80's - neon colors, songs from the 80's, memories from the 80's (if you were alive then), roller skating, smiley faces, stickers, aerobics, mix tapes (cassettes), early video games, 80's movies, etc.

head to toe - Like Sherly said - pictures that show someone from head to toe. Talking about how someone was dressed head to toe. Be creative - maybe a picture of someone's face and then someones's feet?

Technical question... Do all the layouts from the bingo card need to be posted to our gallery? My layout for the contact page layout contains a series of pix taken during my C-Section, which I have no problem sharing with my son and my family, but

A) I'm not sure if everyone here would be comfortable seeing those photos (some are a bit "real" if you know what I mean), and
B) It's a LOT of photos if I have to blur each individual ones.

The whole thing is made with SSD products, and otherwise fits all criteria for the bingo, but I'm unsure I want to post to the gallery. I'd rather not, but will blur everything if needs be.

Eh, while we love to see the layouts up close and personal, in this particular case, I can understand why you wouldn't want to post. I don't think anyone is gonna hunt you down if you don't post it. ;)

You know, Cindi, that's a good question. I'm not sure which tutorial that is supposed to be. This is the only ombre tut I can find. Let me ask in the staff forum to see if we can get some clarification.

This is an ooooooooold layout I did when I was going through my divorce. I didn't want to write everything out, but it was definitely therapy for me...

Please, can someone (Libby probably?) confirm for the "scrap a page with any ssd collab" - should it be a SSD mega collab or a scoop? I'm asking because I see pages made with the current FWP scoop while I thought a SSD collab includes more designers.

It is supposed to be one made by the SSD mega collab, I think. Let me get the higher up to confirm.

Honestly... I'd be ok with scoops, dips or a team collab being used for that challenge. Since we didn't specify whether we wanted a collab featuring the entire team vs a collab between two or three designers, I'm fine with any of them counting for this challenge!

This is the first month i am attempting to participate in the challenges and i had a quick question - spin-a-lift gemma - is that where we would pick a layout from gemma's gallery and use that as inspiration for our page? thank you!

Yes, you would pick a page from Gemma's gallery for inspiration but rotate it (spin) so it's a different orientation than the original. I hope that makes sense?! I'm not so good at explaining without hand gestures! :P

Hahahaha!! I know what you mean about using hand gestures to explain, I am the queen of that ;) Thank you for the explanation!

I'm struggling with the Prompt #6. I feel that in my life I've had a lot of "best day ever" days. I am unable to rank any of them as "THE Best". How are any of you dealing with this challenge?

I first thought of my wedding day, and the birth of my kids, but I'd already scrapped those and so I tried to think of some other momentous days. I don't think I can narrow it down to any ONE best day ever but there are a few that tug at my heartstrings and I consider those the best days/moments of my life. I ended up scrapping the moment my 3 year old saw her Daddy again after a 9 month long deployment. Of all the memories in my life, few mean half as much as that one to me.

Anyways, there are the "of courses" like weddings, and delivery days, but maybe there's others you have experienced like achieving a life long goal, or traveling to a place you've always wanted to go, watching your kid graduate from high school/college, or maybe scrap the first time they said "I love you", adopting a beloved pet ... stuff like that? Hope some of those trigger an idea for you!

Thanks! I think I was trying to go too deep and meaningful because, like you, I've scrapped most of those "best days ever" momentous events so I was kinda stumped. Can't do the graduation thing; I've had three graduate, waiting on the last two! I haven't fulfilled my life-long goal yet because surgeries keep setting me back, so can't do that one. And I'm still struggling with those feelings to scrap that yet. I'm going to have to think some more. Thanks again!!
