A random Hybrid Challenge....

So the other day I cleaned off my desk, it was sort of a big deal since it has been COVERED in things since this summer and all the hospital shenanigans and well... just trying to get caught up with life...

but anyways, now that my desk is clear, and I keep seeing totally incredible and adorable hybrid projects out there in the gallery (plus having my adorable ct-ers making some totally to die for hybrid projects!) I was just thinking, I NEED to get back to paper crafting, and really there is NO excuse for why I'm not making hybrid stuff! Sooooo I was thinking it would be good to make myself some sort of a hybrid goal for the upcoming months. With christmas coming and a zillion things i WANT to be able to make.... I should just buck up and get started!

SO THEN, i was thinking maybe I could challenge other people to join me, in trying to do 1 hybrid project a week from now till december (or even in december depending on how it all goes) :)

SO if anyone wants to join me, lets GO! The first week of november is the perfect time to start, and just think of all the adorable little christmas gifts we'll have to give out come december!

Anyone who is up to the challenge, you should totally play with me! AND I think to sweeten the pot, lets give away goodies! Every week (on Sunday) I'll pick one hybrid artist to give a coupon for one kit of their choice out of my store!

Ok... I'm rambling... but seriously! Even if no one else wants to play along I'm going to do this by myself! :P

I am SO in. I'm gonna be scrambling to get things done in the next few weeks, and I know that this thread will be totally inspiring and motivating! WOOT!
 
OMG... a chance to for a kit from the fabulous Shawna??? I'M IN!!! I mean, sure... why not?? :p This will be my push to get my studio cleaned up by Thanksgiving company... my supplies are buried somewhere in there... LOL!
 
I am probably game. I haven't even started on my Christmas Hybrid gifts yet. I just need to get to the store, if I can, then I am in.

I'm in! I want to get some projects done for Christmas as well and this is just the push I need!
 
I'm in tooo..... Since I stopped designing because of my family I will try to do all my hybrid gifts in the next time :-)
 
I'm definitely in too! What a great idea and wonderful inspiration to get back into my scraproom instead of letting it sit there and collect dust. :)
 
I'll come play with you Shawna! :thumbup: I've been half thinking about some gifts for DD teachers - she finishes school in less then 6 weeks - yikes!
 
well, since i've been making christmas cards, i'll play!

i made a card last week, but its not using printed stuff.

and i made one yesterday using a new Libby kit so i can't post it yet, lol.

i'll try to print some more stuff off and make more.

I just downloaded the "Licken the Bowl Bundle" from the shop and I can not wait to start that. I'm thinking of making the set for a friend for christmas, plus making my own.
 
Ooooh, I'm in! I'mm starting on the stuff for my cousin's baby shower and I'm using Melissa Bennett's Mudpie. This should motivate me to get them all done ASAP! :)

Me, too! I can't wait to start playing with this kit and the templates! So count me in for this week :)
 
Phew... finally got this done... I had made an album like this a few weeks ago for a charity basket for a friend of my husband who's daughter was dying of cancer (she passed away two days after the benefit)... but I thought I'd change the recipes up and give it to MIL for christmas...

I'm totally in! I found a cute new project I'm dying to try that will be perfect for my co-workers and for teachers.

Love the Hybrid Recipe Album - it's so freakin' cute!
 
Freakin, frackin! I was making a badge album and every QP or template I have seen for them is 3.5x2.4, so I make it up, print it out and guess what, the holders I bought are 3x4. Ugh!
 
Mari - Check the office supply stores - they do come in two different sizes. Usually vertical is one size and horizontal is another...don't ask me which is which.LOL
 
I made another one (bigger this time!) and will just have to buy some smaller badge holders this week. Ugh. Anyway, slipped in a hybrid project for week 1!

I just bought the rest of the supplies that I needed so since I'm off tomorrow and not feeling good I will definitely be making something hybrid.

Here's my project for this week

I'm going to make these for my co-workers but fill with little notebooks, pens, gift card, and candy. The box is super easy to make - directions are on Eva's Blog
