Baker's Dozen for April 2024: Share your photos here!

Sorry I'm late getting this thread posted here, everybody!

In case you missed the news on our blog, Facebook, and Instagram, we've launched a new monthly photo challenge for 2024 here at the Sweet Shoppe and we want to see your photos!

It's the Baker's Dozen Photo Challenge. If shooting a photo every single day is too much to keep up with, you're going to love the Baker's Dozen approach. Each month, I'll give you a list of thirteen prompts, and you'll use them to inspire your photography.

Here are the photo prompts for April:



As you work your way through this list, we want you to come back to this thread and share your photos with us! And to sweeten the deal, we're offering a prize. For each image you post - up to a total of 13 - you'll get your name added to our random drawing. At the end of the month, one person will win their choice of a kit or template trio or quad from the Sweet Shoppe!

Thanks for posting, I knew I had taken some pics with these prompts already...

Rainbow 1: my ceo has this in his office.

Rainbow 2: a rainbow of colors in the tulip fields.

Umbrellas or Rainboots: maybe not an umbrella or rainboots, but certainly protecting me.

Blossom: living in the 'fruit garden of the Netherlands' sure gives nice blossoms every year.

Walk: during a recent walk I had to pass this breeding (and hissing) swan.

Foolish: my daughter...

Yellow: our gorse is blooming beautifully.

Grass: with cute little purple flowers (speedwell).

Puddle or Water: an interesting duck in the water.

Under my Feet: my good boy and some grass, during our daily walk.

Oldie but Goodie: my old but good boy.

Best part of the Day: I love me a sunset.

Recent Purchase: we bought 600 tokens at the fair and had fun for an hour with the four of us (my daughter, my mother, my sister and I).

You could create an account with imgur. It's pretty simple to use. You upload your photos there (I do it privately so nobody on the web can see them) and then it gives you the link to post into forums.

I know there are others photo hosting sites but I'm not aware of them. There was Photobucket back in the day. Not sure if it's still there.

Thanks, I think I got it partially figured out now (although strangely the tutorial video had no sound when I tried playing it). However, when I just tried posting the photo here, it was GINORMOUS! How do I scale it down??

EDIT: Ugggh, now I uploaded a much smaller version of the photo to imgur but I can't seem to pull up the same options for copying the code, and I'm still not sure how to go about posting it in here.

2nd EDIT: I think I've got it now!

Rainbow - a rainbow of fruit (and duplos) at my grandson's birthday party yesterday!

Umbrellas or Rainboots - mural we saw in Indianapolis

Blossom - yellow crocus in my yard

Walk - my granddaughter was so excited to find a roly-poly!

Foolish - the twins' first birthday photo shoot didn't exactly go as planned, lol

Yellow - daffodils outside the cathedral

Grass - the dew was sparkling on my front lawn so pretty last week.

Puddle or Water - we didn't have eclipse glasses so I tried taking a photo of the reflection of the sun in our pool cover, lol.

Under my Feet - OK, not quite feet, but my grandson was crawling in the grass for the first time a few days ago. He wasn't too sure about it!

Recent Purchase - a bowl I found in an antique store in Branson

I'm glad you figured it out! When you click on your photo and it shows you all the different links, at the bottom you can click on different sizes and it regenerates a different link to use.

Leah, I have uploaded them to Imgur, but how can I get them on here without being HUGE?
