I tried printing paper today... (printing an album) and for some reason the pics were not coming out nice... I used HP photo paper 200 matt... i hated it so i went back to my normal lovely gloss paper... hp advanced photo paper glossy(250gm) and the image quality is SOOO much better

is there something wrong with the paper i used? i dont have settings on my printer (hp photosmart d5063) for a matt paper... which may be the problem.. im not sure how to get the setting...
i'd love advice.. i plan on also making boxes and stuff and im not sure what to print my pages out on :( :(

problem is im sure the glossy will be very hard to photograph since it does have a glare in light

second question... do you think i can use the scrapbook adhesives EZ runner to tape my prints to chipboard..? i have a xyron on the way but it will probably only get here in a week :( i do have mod podge but im scared that mod podge wont work with my glossy pages? should i spray it with a spray sealer afterwards?

third, how do you cut chipboard...? with a scissor?

Ok let's see. First, try playing with your settings on your printer. I would be surprised if there isn't a drop down menu somewhere for the type of paper to print on. Select matte, and that will help get better prints.

Second, that tape runner will be fine. I use my tape runner more than anything else as far as that type of adhesive goes. Mod podge will work fine to glue your pages onto the chipboard too, I've done that plenty of times.

Personally, I don't seal my albums at all. Not with modpodge or with spray sealer. I just don't care enough to take the time to do it. And worn albums just show signs of love and wear and tear, and I'm ok with that. But that's totally a personal preference.

If you're worried about mod podge then spray sealer is the way to go.

I cut chipboard with scissors or a kraft knife (exacto type thing).

thanks for your quick reply
