Project Life hybrid help

I'm thinking of getting started on a project life album and I think I want to make it as a hybrid. I have some wonderful journal cards that I have downloaded but I'm not sure how to print them. I want to write on them myself instead of doing it on the computer. Do you print them on cardstock, matte photo paper or something else?

I print my journal cards on Bazzill Basics orange peel paper. I do my journaling on the computer and print it onto the cards, but you could print the cards then journal on them.

I know that a lot of people also use Epson Matte Presentation Paper. That paper is whiter and has a smoother surface and the colors really pop.

I typically use simple (heavyweight) white cardstock.

I use chepaie walmart 110lb cardstock.

Target has Wassau Bright White Cardstock that also works perfectly and is also not to expensive vs. Epson Premium Matte.

Thanks ladies! I started using plain cardstock so I guess I will keep with that for now.

What size journal cards do you like using best? I have been printing 3x4 but I wonder if I should be printing 2x3 instead? Sorry for all of the questions. I just don't want to get started and then discover that I should have been doing it differently.

This is what I've been printing on for years, and I love it.

Like Jen said, I'm using divided page protectors and print to fit them. For my pockets, that means everything needs to be 4x6 or 3x4. When I have a smaller amount of journaling, I combine a journaling block and a photo in the same 3x4 or 4x6 space. Sometimes I also use a 3x4 journaling card with a small photo printed or mounted on it (along with the journaling). For larger amounts of text I prefer 4x6s with multiple days' journaling written on them rather than 3x4s.

Great to know! I'm looking at doing this too. We don't have a printer so I'm going to have to take all my files to my local copy shop.

I'd just start by doing printing out what you'll need for one week and deciding what size and style you like. I learned a lot about what I like in the first month I did it, and my process has been pretty smooth since then.
