In the school I work in we do a Guardian Angel gift system. I was thinking of making some personalised notes for my person.

Are there any good/easy to follow tuts out their?

Not sure about tutorials, but I did this for my dd's teacher. Super easy. Create a 4x6 layout, slip it into an acrylic photo frame and add a post it notepad to the front. (A full pad. At the time of the photo I only had a few post it pages left, but I replaced them with a full pad before gifting).

I have the perfect template for you!

Also another fun idea is to make stick note "stands" using cheap acrylic photo frames like here:

I am thinking of trying this with a portrait 5x7 frame and a larger notepad for my own desk! I am hoping that the lower angle will make it really convenient for writing longer notes.

hehe - I posted at the same time as Jacinda!

Just thought of another idea on the same lines - You could decorate a small or normal sized clipboard and then put a pad of paper on it - maybe tie some ribbons to the clip part or attach a flower or buttons or something?

I bet there are some pics of some in the hybrid gallery, have you looked there for inspiration?

thank you - I didn't think of doing it that way.

I was going to print of loads of individual sheets, which would cost me a fortune on ink.

I wrapped mini legal pads to make them match a theme this summer. You could totally do that and personalize each front.

Also, with the little acrylic 4x6 frames - you can always print the graphics part (that you slide in the frame) at your local photo printer (I use Walgreens) and it would make them pretty cheap!

Jacinda, Can I ask where you purchased your pens so that you could make them match? This is absolutely adorable!:w00t:

Obviously I don't look in this forum enough. These are awesome ideas! I may do them for Christmas gifts.

Mary, that pen was one of the kid's gel pens - they come in lots of different colours. I printed out a strip of patterned paper and wrapped it around the lower half.

Pentel RSVP pens have the clear barrel that allows to you unscrew the back and put a piece of paper inside - I won't say it's an easy task to get the paper rolled up just right and put in there....but they are very cute when done.

Jacinda - love your idea of wrapping the paper around the outside of the gel pen. It looks fabulous!
