Those $%&#*%& accordion flowers

Ok! I love these! I hate these!!! I love how they look, and how easy they are to fold up (especially using the Martha Stewart scoring board). I HATE making them into the actual flower!

Col, what's your secret?? Anyone else who's made these have any tips? Mine keep folding up, even when they've been stuck down with sticky dots. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I have no secret, I'm sorry! I use the big thick glue dots and really smush the bajeezus out of them. I'll go back to my stash basket tonight and see if it's still nicely stuck together or if it folded up on itself. One was on a card I gave away, but I still have the one I made for the tutorial.
 
For the ones I made for a Hybrid Chick post... I put a punched out circle and glued to the back of the accordion flower. Hope that helps... that kept mine together.
 
liquid glue on a punched circle underneath with a glue dot on top, and put some kind of weight on top until it is dry.
 
I do the same, I use Beacon glue since it seems to hold it better. Use the glue bottle to hold it down LOL
 
I put a generous amount of hot glue on the bottom then stick a punched circle on top of that! :thumbup::thumbup:
 
Thanks! I will try these suggestions. I love these flowers but they make me want to use a sailor's vocabulary. :p
 
Another vote for a liquid glue on a punched out circle on the back of the flower. I used to use Glossy Accents, but it took a while to set, I've since invested in a little glue gun and it works much quicker.
