torn between bosscut and silhouette sd

Well, I'll tell you why it would be my choice...1. no cutting mats, 2.cuts 12 x 12, 3. no cutting mats, 4. cuts chipboard, 5. no cutting mats, 6. hold the pen and the blade at the same time so you don't have to change it, 7, no cuting mats, 8. can get software to make your own (the program is a bit pricey, but I'd still buy it), Oh, and did I mention NO CUTTING MATS!?

I'm actually hoping ot be able to get one when we go the states later this year...although DF might not want to marry me if I buy another machine!

I like the no mats and the pen and cutter at the same time and I like that it self adjusts for the papers, etc. But the 12 x 12 is really only 10 wide, although it takes 12" paper the cutting area is only 10" wide...but wide enough! I wonder why it isn't out yet when they said they would have it out for Christmas and the demo on their site doesn't do anything except for about 30 seconds. I will definately have to look further into this though.

They say it will cut up to 11 3/4", but I'd even be good with 10. They debut it at CHA and March is a normal ship date for big items from CHA. I'd love to see one of these babies in action though.
Good luck with your decision! :)

Between the Bos and the Sil SD I'd go with the Sil. I like the Sil because it can print and cut. Somehow the Sil knows exactly where your print image is and cuts around it for you. That's a perk for me since I like doing hybrid stuff and I like trimming around my images. The Bos doesn't seem to do that.

The Craftwell seems to be nice too but it's not out yet. I think it does the print an cut feature.

I have a Klik-N-Kut. It's a BIG machine. It does thick material but I have the older one where the print and cut isn't computerized like the new one. So I'll print and I have to manually tell the KnK machine where the image area is and then it'll cut. A hassle! The new one will operate like the Sil SD. The only thing is, the KnK cost $800 or more (I bought mine for $600 or so) and the Sil SD is A LOT cheaper. So I want to get another machine just for the print and cut feature and right now I'd go with the Sil.

I guess I can wait to see what the Craftwell does. That's the only thing that's holding me back. The no mat seems nice. It is though a new product and I don't usually don't like to be the first people to get a machine. I like it when the bugs have already been worked out and have more reviews.
