Sweet Shoppe Designer
Our winner of $10 this month is Leah!!!
Leahblahblah I'll pm you a code for your spending money. Folks I'll try to get our new tag for May ready today. If you look at the last post you will see my screen grab on the random number generator. If you've been playing since January you may notice Leah has won in past. I'm not eliminating anyone's chance to win just because they won previously. So keep playing.

Welcome APRIL and welcome to my monthly tag challenge. Each month you will make a tag and post it to the challenge page. The tag should represent something to you for that month. At the end of each month I will count the submissions and use a random number generator to choose a winner. If the winner has used my products to make the tag, they will receive a $10 gift certificate to my store. If the winner has used other designer products in their tag, they will win a $5 gift certificate to my store. To post in this thread, I suggest you load to the store gallery and use that link to post in this thread. You are allowed 5 official tag entries each month but please put them all in the same post - just keep coming back and editing it.
Each month I will give you a link to a tag base. You may use that, or a previously posted one, or simply grab a tag from a kit or create your own tag. By the end of the year you will have collected 12 tag bases to play with.
Myself and/or my creative team will show off some fun examples at the beginning of each monthly challenge post.
Creative Team member Melinda created tags all December and she was my inspiration for this challenge. Here were her thoughts on tag creation that she followed, but you do you. The idea here is to have some fun and maybe even create a tag that you plan to use in a layout.
"...-My tags were very 'element driven' - there was a cute element or word phrase that I wanted to use on the tag and I built the other tag components around that one thing.
-Keep it simple, less is more. Tags are small, you don't need a whole lot to fill the space. 1 background paper, 1 focus element, 1 word phrase or title word, 1 small cluster to accent your main element
-Pre-made journal cards from a collection can be a great starting point, or even the main focus, for a tag.
-I challenged myself to only use things from 1 kit/collection for a tag as much as possible to keep it simpler.
-A photo on the tag is welcome, but is not necessary
-I added a fun ribbon, or other accent piece, to the top of my tags each day but that is not necessary if you don't want/need one."

Samples from my creative team - If free speech bothers you, I give you the blessing of free speech to PM me. America is in a difficult time right now and some folks need a way to express their concerns.
