4 layouts done this afternoon/evening... on a roll. Getting through this month's C&C slowly but surely.

I agree @Romajo that they have been harder this month.. but at least they are open to interpretation so I do take a few liberties with some of the words - looking up meanings and alternatives so that they make sense and so that I can find something to scrap. I also tend to browse through what other people scrap for some of the words to figure out what to do with them... hence why I have to sneak in at the end of the month with my layouts.

As for these past months of C&C challenges, I seem to struggle with making the connections... At first it is so overwhelming with 15 options twice that have to be connected as well. I mostly struggle with the left side, the words, since I'm not always sure what they mean or how to interpret them (English is my second language, so not all words have been added to my vocabulaire so to say. Thank goodness for Google translate, though). Anyway, not sure if this system is my favorite, although I like the results.
Oh, and something else I struggle with is knowing at the beginning of the month if I made the right decissions. Did I pick the right scrapping method from the right with the right word from the left? What if I regret a choice and would have wanted to make another connection? So I mostly struggle at the beginning of the month and think I have a better vision of what I want as connections towards the end.

There are C&C challenges for June as well as the warm up for the Summer Scrap-a-thon.

I like the C&C challenges, I can see that the English part could make it more difficult - I like to look in the gallery for the connections to see what others are doing if I'm stuck and get an idea there. The great thing about our challenges is that they're all open to interpretation, you can't really get them 'wrong' in your interpretation.

I know nothing will be wrong and everyting is open to interpretation. I just have the feeling that this system is not sparking my creativity, it's slowing it down... :confused: I suppose it's my (undiagnosed) AD(H)D brain getting overwhelmed and not knowing where to start.

Welcome (back) @MizAmyLou, I'm sure you'll get back into the swing.
 
I actually feel the connections get my creativity flowing more. Like how can I make my layout work. Especially near the end and choices get limited. But I love that its very open to interpretation.

Oooh summer scrapathon! I cant wait!

I'm hoping it's soon and I will be here and not sleeping.

But having just discovered that my file in which I track every challenge and layout and CT assignment for 2026 has been corrupted might just put a spanner in the works! Just done my 10th layout for this month's C&C and now might need to do other stuff before I can finish... oh boy!

Nope... going to have to rebuild. I though I had an old version but not. Oh well guess I can just start with June and then go backwards if I need it. I very seldom do look back but it's a nice record to havve. It's just a bummer when I wanted to use it and it's blank.
 
Well I am off to bed (11pm yawn!)... start of new month when I awake in the morning.... looking forward to seeing the new challenges and hopefully finding time to catchup on the last few for this month too. Night night all.
 
So it rained all day yesterday and then today we were rewarded with a couple hours of sunshine but those were while I was at church and it looks like it may rain again now. Guess I will just have to do some scrapping and check in on this tread off and on.
