Goodbye Dream

Journaling:
Ever since I was a young girl in junior high school, I have dreamed of becoming a writer. I have a passion for books. Reading was a hobby that I couldn’t get enough of. From the young adult fictions of Christopher Pike to the amazing tales of Diana Gabaldon, books have been a part of my life.
For many, many years that passion for literature has been in my blood, so much so that I wanted to be a part of it. Right in the middle of it, telling tales and spinning webs of passion, mystery, drama, romance...
I dreamed of sitting at a desk such as this one with an old typewriter and crisp, clean sheets of typing paper being filled up with the greatest pieces of my imagination. And the fact that they were from my own mind and not the mind of others would make them all the more precious.
And I would see these tales in print. In bookstores, in the hands of people who were more than willing to hang on my every word.
But, then life happened.
Those dreams turned into inty broken pieces of light, swept away by fate and destiny.I became a mother, a wife. But not a writer. Never a writer.
Yes, now and then I’ll blog, or write a cute fan fiction story for a friend, but I’ve never again tapped into my ultimate dream.
Maybe it’s better this way. Maybe it’s better I forget all about it.Then I won’t know what it’s like to try and fail.

This is amazing. And my words would never compare or console to what you have/have given up/are now.
