Default NSD plans?

Does SSD have any plans for next weekend? Like special challenges or chats or anything?

We are supposed to be having a big garage sale - but I don't want to be missing any fun! Talk about delimas!

I'm sure they'll do something. I know the designers are hard at work on some special projects.

My friend's little girl's 2nd bday party is that day and I hestitated when I RSVP'd after I realized what day it was. How bad is that! Maybe it will be a short party

Usually I have to work, or if it's my day off, my inlaws somehow interrupt it. I'm hoping this year, as it's my day off, that I'll stay inside and scrap.

Click-A-Sig was a lot of fun! I believe they did it for the holidays this past year (December) and every day 2 Sugar Babes or Designers here would have a special blinkie in their signature that would link up to a freebie! Everyone had them in their signatures but only 2 of them would link up to a freebie everyday. It was different each day! So it was a scavenger hunt of sorts. It was tons of fun, and often very challenging to find who had it everyday.

Click A Sig rocks.

Sadly, I'll be gone most of NSD. My cousin's bridal shower is that day. Sigh.

I still use some of the goodies from the click-a-sig relatively regularly! I'd love to see a couple of extra challenges!

I am telling my husband to take all the kids and GET OUT! Then I am going to shop my face off and eat chocolate and drink lots of Diet Dr. Pepper. When I am done shopping I will scrap until I cannot scrap anymore...

They better stay gone all day too!

My parents are coming into town and we are celebrating my son's 6th bday. It's the only weekend they can come so I guess I will be trying to get in time here and there as I can sneak it in. I can't wait to do some shopping, I have been saving up some money!!!

Would it be wrong to ask DH and the kids to leave so I can scrap in peace? Maybe if they won't leave I could go hang out at Starbucks and Panera with free wi-fi and scrap all day!!

I already informed DH that NSD was coming up. His response was, "Already? Wasn't it just NSD a couple months ago?" When I told him it only happened once a year he said, "Really? I thought there were like 3 NSDs." Um, no.

The was a digital one not too long ago. B/c I said "It hasn't been a YEAR yet" b/c I haven't been designing that long and I know that the last one was when I was designing. So it turns out there was a National Digital one someone organized and a "real" National Scrapbooking Day that's the "official" paper scrapbooking one. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

Yes, NSD (National Scrapbooking Day) has been going on for quite a few years, always the first Saturday in May. It HAD come to encompass digital (after all, it doesn't matter the medium, just the fact that we're scrapping, right) for a few of those years. But last year a couple people decided there should be a DSD (Digital Scrapbooking Day...not "National" since that generally means just one country, and we know digi scrappers are around the globe) as well, and it was in November. It MAY be changing, there was a few polls done at DST asking when people thought it would be best to have it, since there were a few complaints that it was too close to Black Friday for sales/activities. But if there IS a change, it won't be until 2009.

NSD also happens to be Kyle's 1st birthday so I'm not sure how much I'll be around. But I don't think we are having his party until Sunday since several of the grandparents work on Saturdays. So I should have some time at least to hang for a bit! And I hope they do Click-a-Sig too! Love those goodies!
