Connect & Create: Q&A

You have til tomorrow <3

Also, if you want to catch up on previous month's to be eligible for playing along for our annual grand prize, you're welcome to do that. You wont get rewards, etc. but you can enter to win if you're coming in late!
Ok, so like, double checking b/c I am also an overthinker, but this means I could spend my summer break catching up on Feb-May (as well as doing Jun-Jul) and then try (and inevitably fail like I do every year) to stay scrapping once school starts back up, and then catch up again over Christmas break, and then just make sure I get January 2027 done on time, and I can be entered?

(This might be the motivation I need for this summer.)

Yep! That's right! You wont earn the monthly rewards, obviously, but if your post in the tracker thread for the year is complete by the deadline you can be entered to win this year's grand prize!

It's an app not geared towards what I do. It's pixelab and only ment to put text over photos. I've never run across anyone else that uses it. It's pretty primitive as I'm only on my phone (android) I've attempted the canva but can't get the shadows and the quality of the end result is not very good. I haven't used it in a while so I guess I can check it out and try to work around it
Hi Ashley, I used PixelLab for a few years before moving over to Affinity. I still have it on my phone so am sure I could help you out if you get stuck. I did find the opacity setting and I think you can mirror stuff too. Send me a direct message if you need help.

Omg.!! I'm amazed to find someone that uses/used it. I did find the opacity after some playing. I wasn't thinking and realized I use another way to use opacity was something I do in every layout with the way you do shadows, although I applied it in my titling just to make. It legit lol. I could not figure mirror out but found a way to kind of mirror and crossing my fingers since it does go with the spirit of the prompt.

This month was challenging for me for some reason but the ones I thought were going to stump me weren't the ones that actually did. Haha.

June Challenges look interesting but I am already stumped! What is meant by sequential storytelling?
My take on this... and feel free to correct me... is a story told in parts like beginning, middle, end; or first, next, then, last.

This is usually done in mediums like comic books where each drawn panel shows the next event in a sequence.

But since all of our challenges are open to interpretation, I'm sure you can find a bunch of creative ways to tell a sequential story!
